It sucks because the company that built the system has done such a poor job ensuring the quality of the hardware. Sure the software may be good, but without the Xbox they would all be quality PC games, and guess what they are.
PS3 is better because they have the support of all the same third parties as Microsoft, and they have better in house teams developing great games like Ratchet and Clank. In the end PS3 will be the better quality system and will outsell that piece of junk that Microsoft has been selling.
