Leaving Gamespot

Read the Gerstmann incident.

To be honest i never liked the guy, in fact i never liked many of the Gamespot editorial staff. However this is just plain wrong what Gamespot has done...so..i'm cancelling my subscription account.

Between this incident and the Jeremy Soule "I can sue anyone for their opinion against me with public manipulation and money" incident, i just plain dont care about this crappy half-a**ed site anymore, it has crap medicore below par reviews and features anyhow.

If you want to keep in contact with me, you can always see me at: www.myspace.com/geordilaforce

Also, if you want my email, just mail me a message through here and i'll give you it so we can stay in contact. I will be planning to be gone by end of this week.

Its a real joke this...real joke.

6 hours into Hellgate London "Beta" Testing!

Hi all!

I've recently been accepted for beta testing in Hellgate London. Firstly though, they have stuck us all on Alpha servers and the official Beta server wont be up for a little while.

However, i have played through 6 hours of the Alpha testing server, and of course theres glitches and crashs however i have to say its probably one of the most stable Alpha tests i've played. If the Alpha test is THIS good, the Beta test will no doubt play like a dream!

Generally i have to say this game is fun and very addictive. It can get repetitive i have to admit and i wouldn't give it game of the year to be honest. Its very remaniscent of Diablo 2, and as i'm a Diablo fan, i am naturally going to love this game and be biased in my opinion.

However, i would recommend it to people to at least pick up and play and see what you think.

Since i pre-ordered the game (this is how i got into Beta testing), i also get this option called the "Founders" option or something. Basically it means if i pay £70 (or $149) out-right before Nov 30th, i get to play this game for as long as i live on-line for free - on the surface if you do the math, its a really crappy option, HOWEVER...if your going to say move to a different country and want to play it again when your not exactly got that much money in the bank, its a perfect option i have to admit, i will think about it!

Other than that....the GEORDI LA FORCE ALBUM RECORDING IS COMPLETE! - It took 5 hours...weird huh?! Now all i have to do is mix it to death!

I have 4 more gigs this year, 2 in London, one in Cambridge and the other in Birmingham...then i'll release the album via digital download and sell physical copies at gigs. There will be a split release of the Album with a Geordi La Force EP which i will give away for free if you buy the album!

Other than that, contacting Press people, record shops and labels is all i'm doing right now....oh and i'm going to attend this Games Career Convention in London on October 22nd! Gonna see if i can get a job as a composer for some cashish!

Hope your all good!

Best Regards - Martin

Warhawk Impressions...

Lets put it this way. I have a crappy wireless connection and it runs SO smoothly with ZERO lag!!

Absolutely fun and engrossing little war game! I have been playing on the playstationleague.net network, basically a UK server...and i've been enjoying the virgin-like skills of the players that are new to Warhawk...so i'm finding it a bit of a breeze to kill most of the players aint found those increadibly horribly difficult players to kill yet!

Very fun, i recommend you try it even if it just burns some hours off your day.
