Popup of Death's Journal

Well, my friend and his girlfriend were cool with me moving in with them, but they needed to talk to her mom about it since she owned the condo.

Since she's always so cranky and stuff - yet she seemed cool with me - and they both had said she liked me, I got a phone call from my friend about 15 minutes ago and she had said she doesn't want anyone else living in the condo.

So now it's just a matter of time to see what happens between them or luck to see what happens at home.

I need to get outta here...soon.

Alrighty so it's been a while since I last wrote a blog post hasn't it? Well a lot has happened since then.

Remember that problem I was having where I couldn't sit down and play a game for a long period of time and actually enjoy it sort of thing or stay committed to a game? Well, that's gone. How did it go away? Well I was at a friend's place and we were flipping through channels and I saw a program called "The World Series of Gaming" so I asked him to check it out. It ended up being a Halo 3 (I'm pretty sure...) game tournament worth up to $100 000. These guys' eyes were bloodshot. It was amazing. And for some odd reason my problem just lifted. So that's gone.

Now another thing that's going in that I'm not going to focus on too much is at home. Basically it's going downhill and it's near the bottom - if not at the bottom. My mom, her boyfriend and I aren't getting along at all. I'm pretty much at the point of getting kicked out - it used to be to staying in the same district in the city, but now it's anywhere in the city - no matter where it is. But now there's a really good chance I'll be moving into my friend's place. There's a long story to that...and more after that even but I won't get into it. We just have to make sure it's all cool with his girlfriend etc etc.

Uhm...college is hell for me. I've cut down my course load to three courses a day - sometimes it's two courses so a real messed up day. With medical stuff going on I've missed so much so I won't be suprised if I don't pass this term. Whatever to that subject.

Today I was in this DJ competition and it went a bit awkward. Basically all we had to do was bring in our iPod / mp3 player and they play a couple of songs or whatnaught - but there was a few things I didn't know about. I posted this on another forum:

    -----
    This is retarded...

I'm at the college right now and I just found out that we're going to have a limit on the amount of time we have to play. Depending on the amount of people signed up, we might only be able to play even a PORTION of a song - or up to 5 minutes...if less people sign up then we might be able to play more.

I've spent over 10 hours on downloading, setting up my playlist, organizing stuff, and I find this out, and the competition is only an hour?!?!

I've downloaded full discographies of artists like Gackt and BoA and found their information and disc covers in case we have to display them too...
    -----

But today was the competition and it went actually well. They were supposed to announce the winner of the competition. The winner gets to program / run their one time one hour show on the college's radio station. Another copy / paste here:

    -----
I'm wondering why they never announced the winner of the competition. It went really well though.

Well the performance went good and I basically "took over the microphone" considering I was limited on time and songs. They cut me off on my first song so I went to my second song. The songs I played:

Bio Genesis by Schwarz Stein (cut off near the end)
    Black Stone by Gackt

At the beginning I was just basically like, "I'll be playing stuff nobody here will know or will understand, but I hope you'll enjoy the sound, so this song's called Bio Genesis by Schwarz Stein off of their album called New Vogue Children. So lets get this thing started!"

When I got cut off the song in a humourous way I asked for the microphone and just said, "Oh I guess she doesn't like this song so I have to cut it off and go to the next one...so this one's called...(and so on)"

At the end I just got the microphone again and basically thanked everyone for listening and so on and I got a bunch of cheers and so on.

As well, one of the judges approached me and said I did a really good job and we chatted for about 10 - 15 minutes and I mentioned the amount of stuff I did and how I didn't know that it was only an hour long and so on. So it was alright. I think it looks promising.

I've just been listening to the radio to see if I've won or whatever and they never announced it like they said they were at 8 PM so I basically sat and did nothing for two hours...
    -----

So yeah it's basically been like that lately for everything.

Well as my last blog post mentioned how the wireless connection was gone, somehow it's back up. It connects and varies on status as it normally does. I really don't know what happened - whether it was on my side or their side.

Anyways, tomorrow I have a LOT of running around to do. Finalizing some paperwork that I need for college, checking and repairing some stuff for my accounts at college...and a bunch of other stuff.

It's just an update, but whatever. My status is a bit confusing...online, offline, wandering around, working on our game - a bit of everything.

Well as the topic says, the internet connection on my laptop is shot.

I don't know how it happened, or what caused it, but I was using another connection from an unknown source and it worked perfectly fine. There was also other connections I've used when the one I normally used went unavailable for a short period of time. All of a sudden a few days ago I went to go on one of the sites I regularely go on, and all of the internet connections collapsed.

All I can do is connect to their network, yet at times even if the networks say 4/5 bars are green (Which is almost an "excellent" signal connection as they call it) the net would be up - but even then it doesn't always connect to their networks - whether it's 2, 3, or 4 bars. I'm probably going to take my laptop in to just ask them questions.

So right now I guess it's back to the old days of going on occasionally / weekends sort of thing. But since I don't really find the net as"OMFG YAY INTERWEBZ TODAY!!" like I used to, I guess I won't be on as much. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be on, but not as much - especially with college startingin 9 days.

Well with things that are going on right now - and about to happen, plans are still going well.

For starts, my mom and I are fine. I do avoid her a lot, but right now it's for our own good. We socialize a lot more, and we don't poke at her when she's basically saying "drop the subject" or "go do something" without me having to say why anymore. So that is going fine.

As for Aaron and I with the company, it's going well and has progressed a lot further than it did when I was working with a couple of others. Right now it's just the two of us, but we're working well. He's a bit on the flu side right now but I'm still going to work on things. Development isn't starting for a while, but researching and reading is going on, as well as us discussing things are also going as planned too. I'm going to be working on a side project as well. Information will not be released until further plans are settled and organized.

With college also approaching, I'm also not nearly as nervous anymore either. I do although have to get some paperwork done so I'm able to get the funding I need for the books and such. I have a bunch of grants which total nicely, as well as the loan as well so I should be fine. I just have to wait for my physician to come back from holidays this week so I can get some paperwork done. As for my neurologist since I'm epileptic I contacted the college and funding place, and they just said they'll be able to push the date to when I see my neurologist in October considering I'm unable to see him, and unfortunately even the nurses who know me very well that work in neurology cannot fill in the information. But that is going fine.

Well a few things have been going on lately, and it's been quite crazy. I'm finally getting out of the house a lot more as well.

My job hasn't been going so well, and I've started to look for another job too, just a few minutes ago I followed up on one of my resumes and I have a job interview on Thursday August 9th at 4 PM at Subway, not bad, but still close to home.

Uhm, I updated my game collection lists on all of the catagories as well.

I received my first year student loan papers and I now have enough for my first year of college in which I start on the 27th. I won't be received funds from SMD (which I believe I've mentioned before - SMD stands for The Socieity for Manitoban's with Disabilities. They help people get funding for things like school and jobs. I won't be receiving funding from them for this year because all of the sponsors and funding has been done and such for August quite a while ago, and I still have a couple more processes to go through before anything happens. So whatever I get help with, it'll be for the second year.

Also, depending on how much I stay committed to college, there's a good chance I can stay at my mom's place and not get kicked out, so I'm back on borderline, but it's better than what I had said in the post before this one.

Not much really going on, but yeah, that's pretty much it, college, work, and uh, yeah.

I think I had mentioned that I was going to be buying an Atari 2600 with a bunch of games on Friday (or yesterday). Well I didn't. I didn't because my paychecked was about $100 less than I thought it'd be. It was about $147 something. So instead of going home empty handed, I decided I had to buy something anyways. If I were to have bought the Atari and the rest, it would have left me with a mere $7 or so for the weekend - although I'm getting another cheque this week anyways from Disability Services. So I bought Super Mario Bros. 2 for $35 straight, and I was able to find a brand new copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube for $39.99 at another store called Microplay. So with that I spent about $80 to $85. I'm happy. I also spent $2 on DDR as well for the heck of it. I'm getting better at that too with the common songs that me and my friend Aaron do too.

But at home, I've had a hard time getting into constant gaming where I stick to a game and play it through. So in a couple of forums I go to, I had made a thread with a poll of about 11 games that I haven't beaten (except for one which I added as a bit of a joke - the Ys: The Ark of Napishtim) and of course about 4 to 6 actually voted on a game. All you have to do is go in the thread, click a game and submit. You don't even have to enter a post. But no, alot of them are a buncha dimwits really anyways. So I spoke to my friend Aaron and asked him what games he hasn't beaten if he had any of the ones I listed and hadn't beaten as well. Final Fantasy VIII and Dark Cloud were the main ones. Dark Cloud he could have beaten but his stuff broke (weapons etc - part of the game system - interesting really. I have Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2) so we made a bet to see who could beat Final Fantasy VIII the fastest. The thing is, he's been working on his roof with his dad a lot redoing the shingles so I've kinda slacked off and played Triple Triad a lot. That's what screwed me up when I played it before. As for how far I've gotten in the game? Just past the Fire Cavern.

Now outside of gaming, keeping it simple, I am getting kicked out of my mom's place at the end of September. She isn't bluffing or anything of the sort. That's all I'm really going to say on that part.

Paypal's also been screwing with me as well, all my info is fine, my account works fine, just it isn't verifying right. I was going to put the text that I put in the thread originally, but Gamespot doesn't like the HTML I apparantly used - yet I didn't use any HTML to begin with? But anyways, Paypal's been really irritating me.

So a lot has been going downhill for me, but there's a few people that have been looking at me as if stuff will be okay - but I'm more concerned about school than a place to live right now.

    I dunno right now.

That's pretty much it for now.

Okay so over the past couple of days, my friend Aaron was over, and I've also mentioned him as well in previous blogs.

Well, on my birthday, which was July 10th, I woke up at 10 AM and my mom and I went to my psych appointment and I learned a lot
    - and so did she and my doctor as well. Anyways, the appointment went half an hour longer than expected - wonderful. I was supposed to meet Aaron at Polo Park at 2:30 - which is when the appointment ended at. It takes at least 20 minutes-ish to get to Polo (as most people call Polo Park - which is the largest mall in the city).

So we got to Polo around 2:50 and I couldn't find him. Thought I did when I got out of my mom's car, she took off, I lost him, so I just stuck around the place where we were supposed to meet. Anyways, we met up about 15 - 20 minutes later and high-tailed it to Silver City (The big mall franchise in Winnipeg if you guys don't have them in the US) because I wanted to see Sicko for my birthday, which started at 3:10. We ended up missing about 30ish minutes, bah it's just the previews, Micheal Moore saying, "hi" (lol)...and whatev.

So after that we went to my place around 8:30 (We wandered around the mall briefly). Then things got semi-dissapointing again.

My mom and her boyfriend Earl (I think I've mentioned his name in previous blogs...) ate already (she warned me about coming home late - if I came home late they'd basically wouldn't wait for me. So we had the leftovers. Then she says there's cake in the fridge. Then Earl doesn't even say Happy Birthday at all either. So I look at Aaron and I just basically say, "Wow..." So we went upstairs and started playing games. What did I get on my birthday?

    • My dad sent me $50
    • My Oma gave me $30
    • Aaron took me to see Sicko as well as we played a lot of DDR in the arcade at Siliver City
    • My mom said she was going to get me something on the weekend (basically like that) - but she's giving me the money tomorrow (Friday) because I work on Saturday, and today she works and there's a football game tonight that she's going to. Sunday I work as well. Sad, I know.

So Aaron slept over. We played a lot of games throughout the day, and we went to St. Vital Mall (another large mall with many strip malls surrounding it). Considering the Colecovision games that he gave me (in which I mentioned in a previous blog) - but I actually have to make a correction to them, since some of them are actually Atari 2600 games - like the duplicates for instance.

The Colecovision games that Aaron gave me are are:

    • Cosmic Avenger
    • Donkey Kong (2 copies)
    • Donkey Kong Jr.
    • Mouse Trap (It's not like the board game, it's like Pac-Man in a way)
    • Tim-Pilot
    • Turbo
    • Q*Bert
    • Rocky Super Action Boxing
    • War Games
    • Zaxxon

The other games are actually Atari 2600 games, which are:

    • Donkey Kong
    • Donkey Kong Jr.
    • Q*Bert
    • Zaxxon (2 copies)

So at St. Vital, I decided to buy a Colecovision which a store called Sam's Collectables had thankfully - which even was for $40. I bought it. I also bought for the Atari 2600:

    • Asteroids
    • E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
    • Yars' Revenge
And yes, E.T. is the worst game ever rated and made in the world said by many. Why I bought it? So I can have it.

And at a store called Microplay...

    Sega Genesis

    • Ecco The Dolphin

    Nintendo (NES)

Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt Split

For tomorrow - or later today, I actually managed to get them to hold for m:

    Nintendo (NES) Games

    • Castlevania (Mint condition, with box, mint condition instruction booklet)
    • Duck Hunt (on it's own)
    • Final Fantasy
    • Kid Icarus
    • XEXYZ

And lastly, the NES Zapper for Duck Hunt. I might also get a Game Gear and the Power Glove too.

Back to what me and Aaron were doing, well, we were just fooling around playing games, and since he likes helping out so much I asked if he wanted to help me re-organize my games so we could fit everything in. We also made some stupid videos with my digital camera's 30 second video function. I'll be posting those up eventually either here or some other site.

But yeah, a hella lotta games. I dunno how much my mom's giving me - then again, I am getting paid tomorrow - so that's a bonus.

So over the past two days I've been at a friends place trying to fix his computer, and today they had given me this bag full of games that they never play. They said that there's Nintendo games and there's some Colecovision games too, but the only thing that would work with the Nintendo is this joystick (Red base, red buptton, black stick, the button is white and the ball on the stick is red) - err I just looked on the bottom of it and it says, "Wico Command Control". So yeah. Kinda weird too with the games:

    • Time Pilot
    • Donkey Kong Junior (Two copies - the grey game and the black game)
    • Zaxxon (Three copies - two grey games and a black game)
    • Donkey Kong (Four copies - one grey game and three black games)
    • War Games
    • Cosmic Avenger
    • Turbo
    • Q*Bert (Two black copies)
    • Mouse Trap
    • Rock Super Action Boxing

Odd I know isn't it?? I wonder if they work - I don't have a Coleco to test them LOL!!

But hey - I'm happy. I sure hope what's going on with the computer is going good though. Apparantly I just need to uninstall / reinstall / play with a couple things including some WinSock Fix thing.

    So I haven't posted a blog in a while...

Yesterday my friend and I went out to go see a couple movies (Transformers and whatever the one with Bruce Willis is called) then by the time the movies were done it was around 1:00 AM or just after.

Luckly we were able to get downtown to catch the only bus that goes to his area (or he caught it, I didn't have to catch it) and the one I needed was behind it. So I got off at the next mall where I'd catch the bus that goes to my place (since the regular one doesn't run that late) and I go check to see when it's comes at. So I find out there's no buses that go down Portage towards the Grace Hospital, I knew my parents wouldn't pick me up, so I ended up calling a cab - didn't show up, called again and well, cost me $17...

Then I woke up sometime in the night and basically had a seizure.

So after all of the previous personal blogs over the past...well I think a long time anyways, I've decided to cover a topic that's bugged me for a while. The Gamespot tagging system.

Now if you're new to Gamespot, as far as I know, the gamespot tagging system is to help users find games relating to those terms. So for a random example, searching Square-Enix - you're most likely going to get Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

Now why do I set this up as a rant blog post?

It's just how people seem to almost abuse it. For many games I've seen games completely non-relating - or very little in relation to that game. Or simple terms as "easy" sort of thing. I personally think there should be a bit more sensible system for it rather than just random terms. Like I could go after this blog and go to so many games and have 50 tags up quite quickly.

I think the reviewers should be the only ones who have access to this. I just go against it - personally anyways.

Well, it seems as if I keep dying at on Super Mario Bros. (NES - if you've read the past blog) at the Hammer Bros as well as (for some reason) sometimes the spring on (I think) it's 4-1 or 4-2. So instead of freaking out, I put it down for a while, and I decided to pick up a title that I haven't played in years.

Thanks to TristanH12 actually - saying on how "I can beat two games in a week" kind of helped. I decided to pick up my Neutopia for my Turbografx-16. It's basically in short terms a Zelda-like RPG-ish I suppose. Well according to Wikipedia, it is modelled like Zelda. Here's the quote...

    Wikipedia wrote:
Neutopia is a TurboGrafx-16 game by Hudson Soft. This game is clearly modeled after the highly popular Nintendo game The Legend of Zelda. It also received a sequel. Similarities to Zelda games include octopuses shooting projectiles from the water, the constant beeping heard when your health runs low, and the way your character triumphantly raises a newly acquired item. As you wander between contiguous land areas, you'll encounter dungeons, merchants, and people just offering advice. You'll fend off wandering monsters with your sword and shield, blow up obstacles with bombs, and consume potions to replenish your health. Each dungeon offers a variety of enemies and simple puzzles, culminating with an obligatory boss encounter.

It has been confirmed to be released on the Wii's Virtual Console service in Summer 2007.

    Neutopia via Wikipedia

Anyways, there's 8 medallions. I have 2 already. So I should have the first game done by Sunday for sure...and if I don't have it beaten by then - either something came up, or well...I dunno. So much crap has been going on I dunno what to do anymore.

But yeah. Right now is Neutopia...well actually, right now is off to bed.

I'm not really sure on how to put all this because I know you all don't want to read pages upon pages of wording like I'm doing right now.

I tried playing Super Mario Bros. again. I haven't beaten it yet. I swear it must've been a dream...or something. If there's 5 worlds or 8 worlds - I remember the morning before last I popped in my Mario, got to 5-something and I think it was Bowser anyways. But then before that, I had a dream that when you reach a certain point (of course I can't think of it at the moment...) there's like, 6, 7, and world 8 so I'm not sure really.

On a "good" note - I THINK I'm going to go to school this fall - not this winter. Why? I went to Red River College to check and see if I could take the $300 deposit and use it for the winter. I can't. So I talked it over with my stepdad and he just said apply for a student loan, and with this thing that I have called SMD (Society for Manitobans with Disabilities) you can get a sponsor because of all my medical crap. Nonetheless, I'll most likely now go with this fall. Might have to pay more, but we'll see. I have to give SMD another week to see if I anything pops up - then I'ma follow up, then go with the student loan...well you should be able to figure that out.

It's kind of funny really. I say I don't have time for playing games, yet to others, this is "nothing" to them - meaning they're all busier and stuff...all I can say to that is "wow". I just wanna beat a few games before the end of the year. At least anyways.

That's pretty much all that's happened over the past few days.

So as the title says, we finally have a bit of a thunderstorm going.

All of the ones that we've had earlier this year were just short rumblers. Y'know, when you're younger, you don't like the loud cracks and bangs of the thunder - especially when the lightnignt sounds (or seems) to sound like it hit something which causes the thunder to well, cause all hell to break loose for a second or too. Well I've totally grown out of the being scared or jumpy. I love it now. The first one we had tonight was the loudest so far - there was like, no break inbetween the thunder and lightning - and it was ****ing loud. I wish my window was open then, just there's this space in the screen that my stepdad has to fill.

Here in the Canadian praries...or the praries in general, mosquitos are vicious...like I don't mean "will kill you" but it's like, it seems as if as soon as they see you, they'll fly right at you sort of thing. It almost seems as if repellent doesn't always work. It sucks. My stepdad even said when they went golfing they were bad. Bad enough that they had to put on repellent half way through the first hole.

Heh...I woke up at like...2:30 PM so I didn't have to worry about any of that crap.

So I talked to my AUntie Nancy today...err...last night - in which hasn't happened in a while - they live two provinces over from me (My uncle's in the air force) - she's probably going to be reading this sometime tomorrow or in the near future). They seem to be the only ones in my family who give an actual crap of what goes on in my life. Yeah my mom says she does - all she does is put a roof over my head - she won't talk to me or listen to me about my problems, but whatever. Screw her (my mom).

    Anyways...

If it's not raining later today, I'm going to go out and look for a non-food-related industry job. Probably something like Wal-Mart or Safeway. I'm not sure. I also have to check the schedule at my work right now.

Haven't played any games really, played Golden Axe, beat Beginner's Mode second try (after a game over - never played the game before), and I almost beat Super Mario Bros. too. Ended up dying at the same level.

Anyways, I'm out, starting to yawn, gunna try and catch some z's or something.

So this is a late blog post for yesterday. Why I didn't post it yesterday? Read on and you should be able to figure it out.

I woke up around 9:30 or so because I was supposed to go hang out with a friend. I called her, nobody answered. Her cell must've been still charging, or off, or maybe ignoring me - whatever. So I threw in a load of laundry.

Then I had to run to my work and pick up my cheque, cash it, pick up some stuff at Safeway (grocery store), drop it off at my mom's work, and go back home - all before 4:00 PM or so so I could throw the load of laundry in the dryer. So I went to my work, told it was too busy, so I went home. Was able to catch the same 83 though.

Called my friend again, nothing. So I just pretty much gave up on that.

Went out a bit later and did all of the above. Got a bit pissed because my cheque ended up being only the day of the orientation - the day that I pretty much sat around and did nothing...so it wasn't even $20 - so that screwed ALL of my plans. ALL of them. Anyways, I came home, threw in the load in the dryer, caught the bus to go to work, and then the fun begins...

Lets just say everything went regularely, and then supper hit. I've never worked at a fast food restaurant during supper so it was a totally new thing. We got totally slammed...err well, really busy anyways. I ended up turning into "everyone's b****" as per usual. Put meat down, wash dishes (sound farmilliar?), make this and so on. I started getting a bit frustrated, but that's just me, so I dealt with it. But then I tried to multi-task, which I still have to learn really how to do, and that's when I really screwed up. How about we just leave it at, "It got busier, I was supposed to be off at 11:30, but I left at 1:00 AM".

Now why did I leave at 1 AM? I had to do the dishes. I've never washed greasy stuff, so I thought it was a lot easier - just wipe and put away. Well...the burger trays ain't easy. So they really screwed me. Plus my leg started hurting a lot too, so that didn't help. Got the dishes done eventually, so I stuck around for a while and just chatted or whatnaught since they were too. Decided to take off and forgot to clock out (Sign out) - went to go open the door, it was locked. Went through the drive through (lol). I don't remember everything, but I just know I screwed up a lot in the second half of the day.

So I finally 'somewhat' got everything organized and left. I missed the last bus that went to the area so I was screwed, so I decided to ask a couple of people if they were going anywhere near one of the streets or areas I live at. Nobody really acknowledged or said yes, so I just started walking. I got to my old highschool's parking lot, and a cop car pulled up. I actually was more relieved than nervous...the officer just asked what I was doing, I explained that I ended up being at work late, I missed the last bus in the area, so I have to walk home. So I ended up getting a ride home in a cop car. Was kind of cool in a way. Heh...he did take my bag and search me for weapons or whatnaught, but I just said I have my wallet and my iPod. So I got home around 2:40 AM. Went upstairs, went on my computer for about half an hour to an hour, then went to sleep. Don't really remember laying down, but lets just say it's 11:39 AM right now - I've only been up for about half an hour. I didn't wake up once.

I work again at 5 to 10 PM tonight. I can't wait till I get my bike lock.

So today wasn't much of a gaming day as I had hoped.

Man, asking someone what bloody time it is couldn't be so crazy...

I went to ask some old lady what time it was, didn't understand her, so I asked her again. I thought she was talking German, so I tried to interprit her (I know a bit of German...very basic though). All I understood really was 11 or 24. So I knew she wanted to take one of the two. I could barely understand her, so I just kept "kind of" asking her the same questions - like how you would in the hospital to someone who's freaking out.

I finally asked her where she wanted to go, she said Portage - well, Portage goes all the way across the city. So, I asked, where on Portage? She said past Polo Park. We were at Unicity Mall. (A good 15 - 20 minute non-bus drive to give you an idea). So I said that you can take this 24, but she kept saying no it doesn't go past Polo Park. (I take the 24 all the time by the way so I knew what I was talking about) so she said 3200 Portage - which isn't anywhere near Portage. It's within walking distance of us...well for me anyways - even then it's quite a walk. So I told the lady to stay at the bus stop and I'd go get the driver. She then said she was scared, and I just exhaled, quickly scratched my head and said there was nothing to be scared about. I went and got the driver, and he just said to take the 82 route (which I've only taken once in my life. I had nothing to do really today, so I decided to go along for the bus ride and tell the driver and so on. Kind of funny though - we "kind of" started talking and she just wanted to go shopping.

Yes I understand that as you get old that things start "malfunctioning" and start going wrong and stuff, but I just thought, "Wow" - to be unsure to go a 5 minute car ride and be scared like this, it never really clicked all that much. If I wasn't there, she was going to end up waiting for the 11 or 21 bus, which would've ended up coming an hour and a half later than we were there. That route was only running to the bus stop area that I'd want to go around 8 or so to catch the 83 route.

My original intentions for today were to go get up, make a few phone calls (one I was unable to do, couldn't find the right number), go to my work, find out when I work next (tomorrow...or well...it's 12:47 AM so today at 7 PM to 11 PM, talk to the manager to see what's going on about the full time stuff - they're still kind of training the people, go to Wal-Mart, get some Apple Juice (the brand they didn't carry, so I didn't get any), then take the 83 home, come on here, and play some games.

But when I finally got home I ended up doing a crazy multi-task. My parents were out at the first football game, so I decided to work on my room, clean up some stuff downstairs, chill out on the computer, and play some games. So, I was (somewhat) able to do that. I finally started playing about two hours ago. Damn cords and all.

Found out that the RF cable that Microplay gave me was a Sega cable - which for somehow and someodd reason works with the Nintendo. So, I got to I believe 5-4 or something like that. Then I played a bit of that Street Fighter 2 Champions Edition on my Genesis and got my ass kicked. I do way better on Street Fighter Alpha 2 for the Super Nintendo.

So I finally was able to get a hold of a Nintendo. Not a Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Super Famicom, or any of the sort - a Nintendo. I'm unsure why people ask me that.

It came with two controllers, both of the cables, the thing inside of it was replaced as well, so everything should work fine. Currently the only game I have for it is Super Mario Bros.

I may have mentioned that I'm probably going to get into Warhammer 40 000 soon. This might help me catch up a bit with my games - the "Buy and Never Beat" syndrome. So I'd either save my money or spend it on Warhammer 40K stuff. Unfortunately, the starter kit is $130 alone, so that might go on my birthday wishlist (My birthday's on July 10th). And yeah I know there's a computer game out there for it...I'll look for it after I make this blog post.

Continuing on, what did I do today? I went to St. Vital (again) which is 3/4 across the city (most likely that amount anyway. About half the way through the trip, the bus got into this small jam and this one passenger started yelling and complaining at the driver because the driver "apparantly" had the door closed on him, yet the guy was waving at him, and the driver once again "apparantly" had the door closed and laughed and started to drive away. The passenger did eventually get on, but it was an interesting 20 or so minutes. This one lady started telling / suggesting to the guy to basically stop worrying about it and the guy then pretty much kept telling her to **** off and mind her own business (in more innapropriate language for this board). So instead of the trip to St. Vital being around 80 minutes, it was probably around 2 or so hours. boring as hell if you ask me.

So I got to St. Vital Mall and went to Games Workshop and went to the small painting class where they teach you how to properly paint your figurines and so on without ruining your brush and so on. I was in there for about two or so hours, letting the paint dry, walking around the store browsing, asking guestions, joking around with the guys and so on. It wasn't bad. I started worrying about the time though once the time hit 3:00 PM.

So the session finished, I ran to some muffin place...I think it was called mmmMuffins or something like that, grabbed one and a drink, then I scrambled to Microplay and picked up my Nintendo as mentioned above. The girl who put everything together wasn't there, so the guy who was working didn't really know what was going on and had no way of contacting her, so everything went well. A bit longer yes, but I was still able to get a fully-functional Nintendo.

Then I jumped on the 55 bus route and went home. I got home around 5:30 or so and started debating on what I should do, grab some food, or take off to Silver City in Polo Park in which I had to meet a friend there for 6:45, but then the 83 bus route never co-operates with me, so I ended up missing the 6:06 bus and walked up to the street and jumped on the bus, went to the theatre, saw Knocked Up (Pretty sure that's what it was called...getting a bit tired...) came home, and jumped on here.

    And that's been my day.

Alrighty, my job situation is seeming to get organized. That's one of the many, many things in the line to get organized as of yet. My second training shift is tomorrow. For those of you who don't know, I work at Burger King. A few of you have just begun to track my contributions so I might as well have well suggest to read my past three or so blog posts as well. So I've now met someone from the Netherlands, and a bunch of other people who know someone who know someone else in my contact list.

I have about three blogs now. One on MySpace, one on FaceBook, and one on here. I rarely go on MySpace anymore because numerous people have influenced me to not go on it - for instance - why rank friends? All friends should be equal. So you'll rarely see me there. If you insist on checking some of my past MySpace content out, the link is, www.myspace.com/popupofdeath as for my Facebook, which I am also starting to not go to as much - I still go there, but I go here a lot because I'm trying a hell of a lot more to get back into gaming, the link is, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=868040592 only stupid thing is, I"ve been told that you have to register and stuff to be able to see things. So yeah, if you want, check the stuff out here. You can see my game collection, what I'm tracking, what I'm wanting, reviewing (haven't been reviewing lately unfortunately), and so on. Things should get better.

Personal issues...well all I'm going to say is, me and my mom is going nowhere, my dad and I is well, I kind of got in contact, uhm, my room is getting cleaner - very slowly?

I went to see 300 with my friend Aaron from a school I went to for a semester and a half (I think I covered why I left in an earlier blog...I ain't going back to that story). That was a lot of fun. Movie was a lot better and different than I thought. I'll just leave it at that.

As for gaming, I don't know if I mentioned this, but I had made a bet with my psychiatrist (yeah...I know) that I could beat Halo, Halo 2, Bomberman (Turbografx-16), Bomberman '93 (Turbografx-16), and Bomberman (PSP) by June 26th - I don't think I'll be able to do it - I haven't even gotten through half way through one game alone. So many things have gone on, and committment too unfortunately.

Anyways, I think this is good for now, so take care, it's 12:31 AM, and I have to work in uhm...13.5 hours, so that'll be fun, and humid.

Well my collection has grown once again.

I went to this store called Microplay earlier today to originally pick up a new copy of Xenosaga II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose. Well, the store of course, is 3/4 across the city (If you know Winnipeg, put it this way, the store is in St. Vital, I live in almost the most western part of St. James (behind the Grace Hospital).

Continuing on, what had happened, was I began to see a ton of titles I have both never seen before, were lower priced, were games I wanted, were rare games, were retro / classic games, or were multiple of the above. For instance I'll use the Xenosaga II. I called all the EB Games stores - nothing - only used. I called Wal-Mart, I already knew they wouldn't, but what the hell. It coulda been in their clearance bin, but highly unlikely. I also called Rogers Video, Blockbuster Video, and finally remember Microplay. They originally had a location quite close to my place (within one bus - today it took me three buses to get there), but the place that used to be open closed down a few years ago because the owner unfortunately wanted to just quit / close.

    So the titles I bought?

    Gameboy

    Dr. Mario (Boxless)
    Yoshi's Cookie (Boxless)

NES (I Don't own one (YET), but I found the game anyways)

    Super Mario Bros. (Boxless)

    Playstation

Playstation Underground: Jampack Winter 2000 (Free)

    Playstation 2

    Katamari Damacy
    Xenosaga II

Sega Gamegear (I Don't own one (YET), but I found the game anyways)

    Sonic The Hedgehog

    Sega Genesis

    Eternal Champions
    Gargoyles (Caseless)
    Golden Axe
    Sonic the Hedgehog
    Street Fighter II

    XBox

    Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
    Doom 3: Collector's Edition

So I thought that was pretty cool. What else is up...uhm, I'm still playing Bomberman for the PSP, I'm on level 3-2 now. I've pretty much only played it on the bus so far, that's why I haven't gotten anywhere really. Halo? Well, nowhere really - just out of the beginning area. WTF: Work Time Fun - uhm...well...ahem. Pokemon Diamond, at the moment, I have no clue.

As I mentioned in the previous blog post, I was able to pick up a copy of Xenosaga II.

But, the copy wasn't a new copy. Other than the fact that I no longer work at the place I (now have worked at) I found a place that actually has a NEW copy of it. The place is called Microplay, and they're doing a personal order for me. They sometimes do personal orders - if the copy is still active (any game for that manner) they can order on for you, and it usually takes a week or so to come in. The game will be in on Wednesday of this week (I ordered in on Thursday I believe) and I'll be buying it on Friday (When I'm getting my last paycheck). It's $29.99. Only $10 more than what I payed for it last time.

Oh and a quick note. I have the first and third copy of the series. I picked up the third because they had a leftover art book...it was either left over or I prebooked it. It was a long time ago. I have yet to beat either. Haha...

In other news, I actually got my mom to play WTF: Work Time Fun for my PSP. Just like myself, she thought it was retarded. Who wouldn't with them crazy-ass Japanese humoured people. She really likes Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee as well. She played that for a few hours. She played that a while back as well.
