Go ahead Alex. Re-install World of Warcraft. You know you'll enjoy it.
No! No I won't! That game's too addicting! It'll ruin my life!
You know you want to. You need it. You need it.
No...no! I've been clean for a month or two now. I don't need that horrible game in my life. Not anymore!
Why not? Don't you want to get to Level 70? You're just going to stop at 62? Who stops at 62?!
I do! I don't have the will to replay it...and stop tempting me! It's too repetitive and boring!
Come on, don't you want to be an Undead again? It's so cool being a zombie isn't it? And a Shadow Priest too! Don't you want to control the minds of people again?
Yes...yes I...wait, no! No I don't! Shut the **** up inner-voice! I don't want to play that goddamn game ever again!

Actual conversation I had with myself.

This just in! GTA IV is still awesome! More on this at 4. Now, back to the weather.

In other news, I just listened to the song "Electric Avenue" and have no idea what the crap it was about. Pretty good song though.
Oh, and podcasting equipment is expensive.
...
Well, uhh, if you got one, comment here or there, whatever.
P.S. I made the banner at the top Giant Bomb $tyle while I made the review Kotaku $tyle. Is it cool for me to write my reviews this way or do you prefer my usual novel-like approach?
Why? Why have I lost my edge? I used to blog ALL THE TIME. I never ran out of crap to say. But now for these past couple of weeks, I can't find a word to say to you guys.
It's not because I'm not particularly fond of GameSpot these days; it's just I can't manage up anything meaningful to say in a well-written blog. But, you know, here goes anyway. Here's some stuff that's been on my mind and what's going on over here in Arizona.
I just went to see Iron Man tonight with my friend Andrew. The movie kind of sucked, but it was kind of okay too. I'm a fan of Iron Man (because he's the only superhero thats drunk all the time) but the movie didn't really have a whole lot of action in it and what action it did have in it didn't last very long. The special effects weren't that great but the acting was pretty good and Robert Downey Jr. acted as Tony Stark perfectly. An extra awesome thing about the movie was that my friend Andrew speaks like six different languages (because he's Iraqi or something) and one of those languages is Arabic, and there's this part in the movie where some Arab dude shouts a bunch of crap at Tony and this other guy translates it into English for him. The thing is, Andrew was already translating all of the stuff he was saying to me before it was said in the movie, so that's kind of cool. I'll write a review for it later when it's not 2:30 in the morning and stuff.
P.S. Andrew thought the movie sucked hardcore.
Anyway, I'm also starting this big project. Huge project. You know that Drunken Khan idea I came up with, like, last week or something? Well, I'm pretty sure I'm not doing that crap anymore. What I'm definitely doing is a radio show with my good friend Andrew (same dude I saw Iron Man with). I hang out with Andrew a lot (we play basketball every other day, see movies, hang out at Wal-Mart...he's basically my best bud), but what I guess "we" discovered is that we talk a lot and the crap we talk about is usually entertaining and would totally make an awesome podcast. So, once we get all of the needed equipment (expensive microphones, a digital recorder, a table, and a couple of chairs), we'll be doing that. The podcast will be based around entertainment (games, movies) and interesting bits of odd news.
To compliment the podcast, I'm going to hook up with my other bestest bud James and we're going to be doing a short news show called the Manila Minute (or something like that).
We're really looking to be big with this, and our commitment to it is dead serious (we don't care if not a lot of people listen to it or if it doesn't get a lot of hits/views; we're mainly doing it because we like talking), so any comments or support you want to give would be appreciated.
One love,
Alex
P.S. GTA IV is awesome, but I'm not sure why everyone likes Brucie so much. He's a cool character and all, but I like trying to decipher what the hell Little Jacob is saying to listening about how Brucie doesn't do 150 crunches a day to bang chicks with cellulite or how "genetically different" he is. Brucie did, however, give Niko his funniest line that I've heard him say so far when Niko said, "What's the matter Brucie? Too much bullshark testosterone up the ass?"
Also about GTA IV, I got the achievement where you have to do a wheelie for 500 feet of open land and I also managed to speed away from the cops with a 4-star wanted level. Both were pretty easy. I also have a question for you guys. There was this one achievement for Call of Duty 4 that everyone was saying was impossible to get. I think I heard from an old blog I read that the "impossible" mission was the mission in which you need to fly in on a helicopter first before you land and start shooting the bad guys on foot? Is that actually the mission, because I'm not completely sure because to me, that part wasn't difficult at all. I actually did it twice because I forgot to save and turned off my console. If you ask me, the part after the helicopter defense was way harder, because you have to raid a house with barely any cover and all of the bad guys are chucking grenades at you (and to get away from them, you have to run away, leaving you of course exposed and a lovely target for bullets). If that's the impossible mission that everyone was talking about, I'd really like to know because it would make me feel good.
P.S.S. Don't forget to leave me your comments on the podcast idea. I'd really like to hear about that (and if you guys would actually listen to it). As for specifications, we're going to be using high-quality microphones (not a coverstation over Skype or something done with a couple of Rock Band microphones) and we're shooting for it to be about an hour's worth of talking about entertainment and odd news.
