The 6h05t's Discussions: The Next Zelda Predictions

Hey everyone, 6h05tly here. Well, pretty soon I'm gonna tidy up my profile (add new games to my collection, edit my friends list which I will explain sometime next week, and deleting blogs that aren't necessary but leave the ones that are interesting).

Before I begin this discussive blog, I just wanna say that I'm gonna be heading back to my fourth year in college in a few weeks so less blogging when that time comes.

    Okay, where was I?

After Shigeru Miyamoto told the media (after this year's E3 was done) that there is a new Zelda game in development, I came to a decision to hypothesize what new features this future Zelda game will have. So without further ado, here goes...

    LONGER DUNGEONS

Sure Twilight Princess has some interesting dungeons, but to me they weren't long enough to enjoy. What I want to see in the next Zelda title is to have longer, epic dungeons that should take you 3 to 4 hours long. And these dungeons should have either save points or warp points as well as an objective feature that will allow the player to head to so that they won't be lost or confused in the horizon during each of the dungeons.

    NON-LINEAR SIDEQUESTS

I like to see sidequests that you can choose before heading to the main dungeon. Probably 2 or 3 different objectives for each sidequest. This would also affect the storyline in some ways. Kinda like what you see in The Elder Scrolls series, sort of.

    CHALLENGING BOSS FIGHTS

Twilight Princess may have some of the best-looking bosses in the entire series, but the biggest flaw for those bosses is that they were easy to defeat. In the next Zelda game, I would like the challenge to increase a little rather than make it so easy that the player will lose interest.

    INNOVATIVE PUZZLES

If the next Zelda game comes to the Wii, some of the puzzles should use the Wii remote and nunchuk. Some examples of what I'm trying to say would be puzzles which you move the remote and nunchuk at the same time in any direction to move blocks to hit a switch or other tasks. Or even pointing the remote upward and tilt it in many directions when you use a propeller or any other device for you to float in that specific direction. These and other Wii controls should make the next Zelda game interesting without any gimmicky controls (are my ideas gimmicky? Discuss on this blog )

    AN ENORMOUS HYRULE

I would like to see a Zelda game that implements the land of Hyrule even bigger than what you saw in Twilight Princess. In this sense, a lot like the Elder Scrolls series.

VOICE ACTING (EXCEPT LINK!!!) AND ORCHESTRATED MUSIC

The characters and villains should talk rather than you reading the dialogue during scenes. And they shouldn't make grunts or other voice bits. Link however should stay quiet except when he makes a jump, launches an attack, or even gets damage. In this sense, we don't want to see another Zelda game that has bad voice acting (That's right, I'm talking to you Zelda CDi). And for the music, it should be orchestrated rather than in MIDI form. Don't get me wrong, I like the MIDI music in the Zelda games, it's just that time is changing and most games are orchestrated. Even if the next Zelda title sticks to MIDI, I'll still enjoy it (Twilight Princess has the best music in the series, BTW).

Well, what do ya think? Will some of my predictions come to be in the next Zelda game? Discuss your thoughts, if you like

The New Gamespot: My Short-And-Sweet Thoughts

Much prettier than the old look.

What do ya think of the new GS look? Your thoughts, if you like?

    I'll give it a 9 out of 10.

    See Ya!

Xbox Live: My Gamertag and Fixing My Online Connection :?

I finally got to Xbox Live yesterday. My gamertag is:

    D3M0N1C6H05T

    (D + three + M + zero + N + one + C + six + H + zero + five + T)

My internet connection for my 360 messed up on me so it will take me a few days to fix this problem.

I'm on the Silver membership mainly because I just want to download content on Arcade or anything else. (have my eye on Marble Blast Ultra, REZ HD, Castlevania SotN, and the upcoming N64 Banjo and Kazooie games!)

If you have an Xbox Live gamertag, comment your gamertag on this blog.

BTW, can you try out the multiplayer mode on games on the weekends? Someone let me know about this, okay?

    See Ya (on Xbox Live)!!!
