  LD's August Monthly Blog

  Even though I didn't buy a lot of things, each thing I bought was worth every penny. 2 very rare things I bought. I bought a couple other really cool things that would have made this blog even better, but they haven't arrived yet. But anyway here are my purchases for August.

  August Purchases

  The Dark Knight Film Cells
  (3 cells with certificate of authenticity)
  

  What is a Film Cell: Film cells are pre-framed movie collectibles that include a strip of 35mm film from an actual print of that film, along with a full-color postcard or photograph from the movie. Film cells are limited-edition items and each one comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

  Best of the Month

  Purchase of the month
  The Dark Knight Film Cell and Joker Head Knocker
  
  Both of these are amazing in there own way. The Film Cell set is one of the rarest things I own, with the success of The Dark Knight and The Joker (as you saw one of the cells is a clear shot of his face). On the other hand The Joker head knocker is another really rare item I own and the picture doesn't do it justice. The detail from this hand painted bobble head and how much it resembles Heath Ledger is just amazing. They're both great purchases, 2 of the best in the year. Honorable mention to The Prestige on Blu-Ray.

  Movie of the Month (New Section)
  The Prestige
  
  A movie I watched on DVD when it was released. I remember I liked it a lot, but for some reason I just didn't remember anything that happened in the film. I decided to watch it again and wow, this movie is amazing. I don't know what I was thinking the first time I watched this movie. Even though I loved it the first time, I cannot believe how much I loved it the second time. It's another great film by Christopher Nolan and an easy addition to my top 10 movies of all-time. It's that good.

  Game of the Month (New Section....though there's no point really)
  I honestly did no gaming this month so I truly can't pick a game of the month.

  Now this poster is claimed to be real but I seriously doubt it is. Even though it's fake, it's still pretty cool to think about.

  As you can see, a good amount of purchases, and two of them I see becoming very, very rare in the future. I saw some good movies but didn't really play any games. I ended up having a great month because of my camping trip with my family. I even went on another little trip to the U.S yesterday that no one knew about Hopefully you enjoyed this monthly blog and the new features I added in

  Starting Fresh

  If you haven't noticed yet, I am back from my camping trip. I had a really great time and maybe I'll show you some pictures in a future blog, if you want that is. Now I just want to say a couple more things.

  - The cuts from my friends list have been made. If you PM'd me of even just commented in my friends list cuts blog you're safe I cut 100 people exactly and I would have even cut more but I got a lot more PMs than I was expecting (Even from people I wasn't even tracking). My friends list went from 183 to 83.

  - I hate the new GameSpot design but I'm just going to think positive. I'm grateful to even be on here anyways.

  - I'm planning to keep my Joker avatar until the beginning of September. Then I'm planning on going back to the back and white Lizzy avatar. Maybe once and a while I'll switch between that black and white avatar and the jokerized avatar. I just feel those ones are more original. That's how I feel now anyways, but I can easily change my mind.

  I'm planning my monthly blog to be my next blog with the possibility of a "camping pictures" blog before or after it. I'm not sure I'm used to the new design of our GameSpot blogs so don't kill me I my monthly blog is a little late And sorry to those who were cut from my friends list. It's nothing personal and don't take it to heart

  And yes, I did really miss you guys....again
