13Mar 07No, the title is not some weird reality show. lol I just went to the dentist a few hours ago. I've never had any cavities in my eighteen years of life and I was scared for the first time I might have one. But lucky for me, I was cavity free once again! I did learn I have three wisdom teeth below the surface of my gums though. Go figure. My mom only has one wisdom tooth and it's upside-down! lol She often gets cavities because of her addiction to Dr. Pepper and my dad's teeth are just awful. But my dentist said I had absolutely perfect teeth! And he wasn't just trying to cheer me up either! I love being me!
So if you've been to the dentist lately, how did it go? Please reply!- Posted Mar 13, 2007 5:46 pm PT

I am back from my ski trip up in Michigan! And here's how the whole thing went:
Day one:
For the ski trip, I went with my church's youth group, where I'm still the newbie. Anyway, when they had assigned vans, I was disappointed that I was put in a van where I didn't know anyone, but everything turned out fine in it. Because everyone had to pee every ten minutes, it turned out to be a six hour drive. But at least it was fun! We used up over an hour of that time yelling at the driver to change the radio station whenever there was a song on we didn't like, which was nearly all of the stations after we crossed the Indiana/Michigan border. We also spent a lot of time playing "Divorce Court". Ah, good times... lol
When we arrived, the first things we got to do were unpack our stuff and eat dinner. Let's just say dinner was beyond horrible. The pizza seriously tasted like cardboard and people actually enjoyed it! After dinner, we were all supposed to play some kind of game with Runts (you have to remember there are four different types of churches here) and we all decided we'd rather eat the Runts right away rather than play any games with them.
After dinner, we got our first dose of Chapel. It was probably one of the most boring things I had ever sat through! Basically this guy we didn't even know had us stand up the whole time singing eight really slow, repetitive songs in a row. Then he kept preaching on and on and offended quite a few people, whom he apologized to the next day. Anyway, this went over-time and lasted about two and a half hours.
After Chapel, we all went and changed to go skiing. We took three large busses and four large vans to a place about twenty minutes from where we were called Pando. It was about ten PM when we arrived and after travelling for six hours and sitting through boring chapel, we were desparate to get through this. I started off with tubing, which was okay. Unfortunately, being as little as I am, the tubes wouldn't go very fast for me. I did this three times. After that, I decided to try out skiing for my very first time. After getting everything together, I discovered there weren't even any chair lifts. We actually had to hold on to this moving rope to go up this hill that wasn't even for beginners. Plus the lessons were over because it was nearing 11:00 PM by this point and it was pretty dark and cold. So anyway, when I was hanging on to the rope as tightly as possible, everything was going just fine until about halfway up. All of a sudden, I wasn't going anywhere because I was too weak to get a good hold of it. Then people behind me were still coming up and started ramming into me, so I was just standing there stuck and screaming. If I let go, I'd fall down and get hurt. So people had to come and rescue me. It was very embarrassing. So in the end, I never did get to go skiing but I at least got a refund.
When we got back, everyone decided it would be totally fun to play practical jokes on one another. Some of the other girls from my church decided to bring Scream masks and scare all the rooms in our hall, which became really irritating, hearing everyone scream over and over. So after a while, I decided to play a little joke of my own, by switching all the bathroom signs that said women to men and vice versa. Now THAT was fun!
After that, we were all "supposed" to go to sleep. So me and one of my roommates, Kelsey, decided we'd rather talk about random stuff. So our other two roommates ended up going to sleep, dreaming about Lilo and Stitch. lol
Day two:
First thing we had to do was eat breakfast, which wasn't as bad as the previous dinner had been, but it still could've been a lot better. Afterwards, we all had to go back to long boring Chapel, where I fell back asleep twice. I had to keep forcing myself awake before I could fall over, which I nearly did a few times. After that, we had the Broomball Tournament, which I stayed in my room and slept through. When I awoke, it was free time. But that wasn't the first thing I realized. I noticed my most absolute favorite stuffed animal was missing and there was a ransom note. I skimmed it quickly and went and told our pasteur. One of the other girls' stuffed animals had gone missing thanks to the boys so he assumed it was them and went to yell at them. Anyway, then my friend/roommate Kelsey came up to me and said that he was behind the window. I yelled at her the whole time back up to the room and she showed me where he was. I was mad at first, but I did get over it. And our pasteur apologized to the boys for the confusion.
After all that, we had dinner. This time it was Mexican food. It definitely wasn't the best I had ever eaten, but it was much better than the nasty pizza we had the night before.
After dinner, we had Chapel again. However, Kelsey said her stomach really hurt from dinner, and I suggested Seven Up. So we went down to the vending machines to get it. After that, we realized it would be totally embarrassing to walk into Chapel twenty minutes late, so we decided to skip it and hide out in our room. After that, our roommates said they knew we weren't there so we explained the situation to them. Of course, they didn't really believe us since we were completely hyped up from the ice cream we had just eaten, but they understood since the food was nasty.
After that, we (and all the other girls from church) decided to hold an 'American Idol' contest as loudly as we could. Let's just say we annoyed everyone else beyond belief that didn't go to our church, or any church for that matter.
That night after American Idol, we were all supposed to be asleep. Unfortunately, people would not stop slamming doors every ten minutes. This lasted all night long. Needless to say, I didn't get any sleep.
Day three:
As soon as we woke up, we had to pack everything up right away and eat as quicky as we could. Turns out, it was beginning to snow even more and our leaders wanted to leave before we'd get snowed in. And that meant missing Chapel!!! That and the scavenger hunt we were all looking forward to.
When we were all in the van and on the road, everyone was really beginning to get on my nerves. Especially this immature sophomore named Jeremy, whom was sitting right behind me. Anyway, when me and Kelsey were talking about my absolute most favorite thing in the entire world, he started making fun of it. And being as stressed out as I was, I completely lashed out on him and ended up "accidentally" cutting his throat in the process. At McDonalds, they had him switch to another van and his friends and I sat there making fun of him afterwards. They were more than happy to cheer me up since they agreed with me to begin with- and they said they always wanted to see Jeremy get beat up one of these days for acting like an idiot. Great friends he has! lol
After a while, we arrived back to our church, my mom picked me up, and we went to Marsh. The end.
So all and all, it was an okay trip, but it could've gone way better.

Okay, not really too much has happened since the last time I posted here in my blog. But as you may know from the Off Topic board, I'm going to a ski resort next Friday up near Grand Rapids, Michigan! It should be a lot of fun, especially since it's my first time and all. I can't wait!
Speaking of snow, we've been getting waaaay too much here. School was cancelled nearly all of last week (snow days galore!) so there's going to be a lot to make up during summer vacation. We were having a blizzard earlier on in the week and we're supposed to get four more inches tomorrow. And yet I'm sitting here dressing like it's July outside. I've pretty much become immune to the cold. If it's -4 degrees outside now, I'm like, "Oh, it's not THAT bad!" However, normally I can't stand the cold. Being from Texas, I prefer hot and humid. My favorite temperature is 86 degrees and I don't think I even know of anyone that likes things that hot on a regular basis.
Oh, if you want to see what the snow is like right now, go to YouTube and look for Jaguar122888 (that's my user name!). The video is called Driving in My Neighborhood or something like that. There's really not that much to it, but you can see my house, my neighborhood, lots of snow, and my mom and I talking about random stuff without her knowing I was recording. lol I also have a lot of other videos there, too, if you want to check those out, too. I love getting rates and reviews!
Anyway, not too much else is going on right now. It's actually been pretty slow around here. I'll probably just go shopping or something later on today. I've got my eyes on some cute accessories at the mall!

6Feb 07Yes, the wait is finally over! If you remember me, you'd know me as CalicoCatz. See, it had been a while since I had logged in (I think June was the last time I was here) and I had forgotten my password and got a new e-mail address in the mean time, so here I am as 1Lola8. As you can see, I've already been posting some, made my favorites list, and added a new avatar and banner (that banner took forever to make!). I am also in the process of adding my picture on here. Anyway, now that I've got all that out of the way, I'll give you the updates of what's been happening to me lately. I moved to a new house last summer and unlike the last town, I am loving it here! This house is even better (yes, it's hard to believe lol) and I'll probably post some pictures of it sooner or later. I started senior year last August at a new school (I'm no longer homeschooled! Woo!) and for the most part, I have been enjoying it there. I had a rough first day, but somehow I managed to become one of the most popular students there by day two. And I got voted best dressed in the twelth grade! I knew my knowledge of fashion would come in handy one day! lol Now on to the pets. If you'll remember one of my very first blogs, I stated my puppy, Zack, was very sick and pretty much on death row. I'm happy to report that he had just recently had his second birthday and is very healthy and large (He's an eighteen pound Pomeranian! The average size is three to seven pounds.) My other two poms are also doing fine and so are the cats, even though I probably never even mentioned them before and I probably never will again. Okay, on to more recent news. Last weekend, I went to the Indianapolis Home Show with my mom and we saw a booth for DayMarc Custom Homes. I saw a lot of their homes in the Geist area during the Parade of Homes last fall so I was already well familiar with them. They seemed to really like that I'm so knowledgable about houses (and especially nicer ones) that they offered me an internship! I'll probably start next fall when I go to college. You see, I want to design custom homes for a living and I think this would be an excellent way to start. However, I'm also inherriting my dad's company so I guess I'll just have to see what happens. Anyway, there's still so much more I could say, but you're already probably bored to death of reading this post! I know I am of typing it! lol jk Anyway, if you remember me or just want to say hi, please be sure and reply!
