While I'm writing this, I'm listening the John Fogerty DVD Premonition. Precisely "Bring it down to Jelly Roll" and I got the idea of writing a blog about which people likes to listen to Credence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty.
The song is now Who'll stop the rain (long as I remember
)So who likes they/him? Personally, I love it. I know you may be thinking that...."2 days ago blogging about AC/DC and now CCR.........he gotta love capital letters
"So what do you say to me people?
The song is now Premonition

Hey! Just wanted to say a little story.
I'm not such a Hulk fan, so when this movie "The Incredible Hulk" came out I was like...oh OK another one. But the other day I saw like a tv special about the movie on TNT OneOne or something and it was like WOW! The Hulk is really well made. So I said like man I want to go and see The Incredible Hulk. I looked at the paper and realize that no theatre was showing TIH again! I said like NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! And now I look at the trailers and stuff and its like YEEAA MAN THIS IS AMAZING! And now I want to Kill myself for not watching the movie and I have to wait a bunch of months till the DVD comes out. F***!

I'm taking only the movies I saw....so...
10. Spiderman 3 The weakest of all the Spidey movies. The hole thing that the man who killed uncle Ben wasn't really who killed him and it was really the other guy....and we have like 3 different flashbacks about the same moment. 6.5/10
9. Spiderman A good movie, but I don't love it. It has a good plot but the villain seemed to wacky for me. 7/10
8. X-Men Nice introduction to the saga, but that Chewbacca-like villain wasn't so good. Good anyway, the guy who played Wolverine was really good. 7.5/10
7. X-men 3 A good ending to the saga. I love that Beast is finally here. But I was expecting more of Angel and it was so sad that Jean became...bad in a way and that Cyclops and Dr X died..
8/106. Fantastic 4 By far this one is so much better than the 2nd one...this one s more realistic and his has those comedy touches like Johnny saying "That's disgusting" to Reed and stuff like that. 8/10
5. Batman The reinvetinon of the character...and my favorite BTW. (tho you all know that) Jack as the Joker did such a wonderful job..."I'm glad you're dead! HAHAHA" that part is so funny. 8.5/10
4. Spiderman 2 The thing of Peter trying to tell...eem...how was her name...Mary Jane about he being Spiderman was kinda boring, but Dr Octopus completly stole the movie. A great movie but I don't like that aunt...aunt....well..Peter's aunt was always remeber uncle Ben...like she was sleeping she wakes up and say: I was dreaming abuot your uncle andstuff like that. 8.5/10
3. Batman Begins excellent movie. Bale as Batman, Neeson as Ra's, Murphy as Scarecrow and Caine as Alfred were all superb performances. The weird thing about the movie is that it actually has 2 plots...but its OK with me, they are connected with Ra's after all. 9/10
2. Iron Man sweeeeet movie. Robert as Tony is excellent. The CGI effects are superb and just.....wow what a great movie.....!:
!
!::! I don't like the Avengers and stuff so I didn't mind for S Jackson at the end playing Nick Fury. 9.2/101. The Dark Knight ANNNDDD CHACHACHACHANNNNNNN!!!!!! THE NUMERO UNO IN MY LIST..THE DARK KNIGHT!! as most people expected
This movie was just tremendous...with Heath's last role..I must say..he stole the movie. Unless the part that he is without make up....I can't recognise him as Heath Ledger! I just can't!. There's also TwoFace here...and his design was just so amazing...what can I say. The plot has those little twists like in the end the clowns being the hosteges and the doctors being the bad gyus and stuff. Excellent movie 9.5/10- Posted Jul 26, 2008 3:40 pm PT

This year was a big one (at least for me) in the movies stuff. Now, I'll show the movies that some I've already seen others upcoming that made this year a very GROOVY YEAR, BABY YEAH!
PG-13 MOVIES ATTACK!!!!!!!!
IRON MAN:

I enjoyed this movie. A perfect combination between an action movie and a comedy movie (tho it was more action than comedy). Very Good. 9/10
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Not my favorite of the saga, but worth mentioned here. 7/10 (my favorite is the 3rd one)
Get Smart:

As a true lover of comedy films, I couldn't miss this one. My dad is a totally fan of the old series, and I like watch it with him. The movie? Great! (plus a Batman Begins movie cameo) 8.5/10
The Dark Knight:

What can I say....been waiting for this movie since January! Now I have the chance to see it. And I'm going to do it on Tuesday!!!! (I bet) 10/10 let's hope that's true.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

The two first ones were pretty cool, I have a big hope on this one, and the trailer looks awesome!
Star Wars: The Clone Wars:

I've always been a huge SW fan...and this (except for some characters design) looks terribly good. Just I wish they have made a movie about what happends between III and IV, not more Clone Wars stuff
Worthy mention that I wanted to see but I coudn't: (who knows why)

Batman Gotham Knight review:
To begin, I must say that what took me really for surprise was the darkness of this movie. People who say that Batman: the Animated Series is dark will have nightmares for life with this. Well, I'm exaggerating but this IS the darkest Batman you'll ever see. Now, to the segments:
Have I Got a Story For You:
From my point of view, this segment will be (and maybe already is) the most underrated of all. In the World's Finest review, it's seen as the weakest of the bunch, and I must disagree. This maybe isn't the greatest, but it's not the worst. The weak of this episode was the characters animation (except for Batman and the Bad Guy). The people looked with thin arms and legs and "fat" body, definitely weird. The story was good, not so alike to TNBA episode "Legends of the Dark Knight", but kind of. The backgrounds are simply BEAUTIFUL, as the graphics and the visuals.
A bunch of kids get together for skating but all of them -except for one- were late. The kid who was alone at the beginning ask them why were they so late, and everyone tells their experience seeing the dark knight, very wrong, by the way (one saw batman as a alien like creature with the ability to "become" a shadow, and move through it -like Shadow Thief- and it was made REALLY good; another saw like a giant bat, like the Man-Bat and the last one saw him as a robot similar to The Batman's Bat-Bot). Finally, when the kid who was alone said "Man, I missed all the action" the "real" Batman enters to the skating ground all heart and tired with the (unnamed) Bad Guy and they fight. Batman design was very similar to the TNBA one, but really smooth, because of the anime ****and it looks much better than in the images that you can see before watching the movie.
Rating: 9/10
Crossfire:
This maybe is, in my opinion, the weakest of all the segments, but that doesn't mean that is awful. The good points of this segment are that Sal Maroni is introduced, but different as you can see Eric Roberts on the Dark Knight trailer; we also see that there're still troubles in the narrows; and the relationship between Gordon and Batman is confirmed by Gordon himself. Now, the bad points are that when the cops go to Arkham, the inmates are really exaggerated, I mean, they walk like zombies and have a smile like Joker's. Batman's suit is bad and again, exaggerated meaning by the cape and to his cowl, which it covers even his chin, but the moment when Maroni has the cop and say "I swear I'm going to kill her" with blood all over his face and suddenly he has Batman in front of his nose and Bats say "No. You won't." That was probably the best part of the episode.
There's also a strange fact, I think that this is the first time I hear an animated character (Sal Maroni) say "Son of a b****".
This episode introduces Detective Chris Allen and Detective Anna Ramirez, who will be appearing in the rest of the movie; also the other mob boss who is at war with Maroni, The Russian is introduced.
Rating: 8/10
Field Test:
I don't know why, but when I finished watching this segment the word that crossed my mind was "nice", but not the nice of "wow this is excellent", but the nice of "this isn't the coolest, but I like it". Again, Batman's suit covers his chin, but this time it didn't bother me, because it's the suit's **** The most remarkable thing of the segment (being good or bad) it's the batsuit. It's very different to every version I've ever seen (maybe there's one like it but I didn't see it). Kevin Michael Richardson's performance as Lucius Fox it's also remarkable, really good.
Now the device that deflects bullets it's REALLY nice, it put a smile on my face like (in a way) it did to Bruce. It was funny seeing Batman having Maroni and the Russian telling them "You get the docks and you stay in the slums, GOT IT?!" .Going back to the bullet's deflector device, Batman used it in his fight against Maroni and the Russian, but when someone shot it, it deflected against another guy, and Batman's expression was "Oh my God, what have I done". He took him to the Hospital in the batmobile (poor design); and then back in W.E, he tells to Fox that superb line that we hear in the trailer (that makes really sense now) "I'm willing to put my life on the line to do what I have to, but it has to be mine, no one else's". It was really "touching" in some way.
And finally, back to design stuff, Maroni's one didn't change a bit, but the Russian's one...it seems another person! We only know it's him because they name him.
Rating: 8.2/10
In Darkness Dwells:
"Well finally!"I thought when this segment showed up, because I was expecting to see the Scarecrow and "freakish" Killer Croc. Somehow this segment disappointed me. It wasn't about the story, it was because nothing else but the Scarecrow and Killer Croc. Oh no, don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But maybe in clock time, Killer Croc appeared 47 seconds and the Scarecrow 1:01''. Not sure if that specific but kind of. The whole story was good, Gordon telling Batman Croc's story and how he became that "urban legend" and a "monster". We learn that Killer Croc was at Arkham Asylum and had treatment with J. Crane, because of phobias, and you wouldn't know what phobia...bats. In that scene, Batman walks through the Gotham's sewer looking for Croc and when Gordon says "bats" Killer Croc shows up with a "super-bang" and bites Batman's shoulder. Gordon asked Batman "Are you in pain?" and Batman answered "I work through pain". Batman started to hallucinate, because Croc had the Scarecrow's poison in his veins; then Batman put an explosive in Croc's mouth and that explains why we could see Killer throwing fire on his mouth on the trailer, and that leaves him out of the game. Then Batman goes for the Scarecrow and stops him from killing a cardinal and then creates an explosion by shooting at methane gas allowing them to get away.
The animation of the characters is maybe the worst, among with the first segment. It made me remind to Disney's "Hercules", but that ****made Batman look really good. The suit was the most obscure of all, with an armor-suit, like in the movies, and with nothing of gray, only really dark grey, that I would call light black.
And finally I must say that this is the darkest of all the segments in Batman: Gotham Knight. The villains' design, the part when Scarecrow -and some poisoned thugs- are going to kill the cardinal, all screaming "DEATH, DEATH, DEATH" was really disturbing.
Rating: 9.5/10
Working Through Pain:
I was about to call this episode the darkest, but I realize that this is not the darkest, but the most disgusting. It's always blood, blood and more blood, and sometimes really unnecessary. The story although was good, and if you are watching the movie in complete darkness, the beginning will give you the creeps. It's a person infected with Scarecrow's toxin, seeing Batman as a complete shadow creature with devilish red eyes, so the guy screams: "NO! GET AWAY!" all in the darkness and the only light you see are his shootings. Well, Batman has a bullet on his body. It's blood falling and falling and Batman gets his finger in the bullet hole...and well pain screaming and more blood. While he's trying to escape we see Bruce in his past, maybe in India, beginning training with a woman named Cassandra. She teaches him how to live with pain and work through it. A very good quote is: Bruce: Cassandra, does it heart? Cassandra: Bruce, what pain doesn't? (Or something like that)The first we see of the flashback is Bruce helping in a medical center maybe also on India, operating a man, whose blood jumps to the air and he screams wildly. Back in the present time, Bruce is about to escape and Alfred is there to help him, but Bats found a lot of guns. Alfred comes in the Batmobile, which is exactly the same as the Batman (1989) one, only which it is a little bit smaller. Alfred says to Batman "Give me your hand" but since Bats has a lot of guns in his arms, he says "I can't" and the episode strangely ends there.
I really don't like very much the batsuit; it really seemed like a head with ears in the middle of it, not in the back. The bat emblem doesn't go with the suit it's like a very little bat in a big suit. Although, the animation was superb and some shoots as Cassandra looking at the sunset is simple beautiful.
Rating: 9/10
Deadshot:
And at last, here it is the movie finale. This segment was the most exciting of all, and the music was just a perfect match with the episode. It was like Jaws and Batman music put together, mostly in the entire segment, and it gives you a feeling of a thrill that I couldn't hold my pants. Deadshot is an amazing character and in the scene when we see him "doing his job" was just spectacular. Deadshot was in a ferris wheel in movement and he aims to a guy who is on a 200 yards away building, so he shoots and we see the bullet at slow motion, entering the building, breaking a champagne glass and killing the guy with a shoot on his head. It's simply outstanding (and as a plus when Deadshot is talking to a guy he kills a bee with a little knife).
Now, as many of you know, this segment ties together mostly all the segments, and it does it in a great way, I mean, there're some things in other segments that you don't consider important, but at the end, it is. And I admit it, I had to watch the movie twice to understand it completely.
This is, by far, the best segment of all. Just like that, that easily. The only thing that I didn't like about this is that it's too short, and we don't have very much happening before the final sequence, which is maybe half-past episode, but it doesn't bothers me. The Batman's suit was just perfect, the way I like it the most, Deadshot was a perfectly made villain, and he fits perfectly in the story. Superb.
Rating: 10/10
OVERALL: (bad-regular-good-great-excellent)
Stories: The stories were good, not so original, but good; some worse and some better, but as this is an overall, good.
Animation-Graphics-Visuals:Do I have to say it? Really? Do you need it? OK. Excellent.
Characters Design:It have some goods, some greats, very few excellent, regular and bad. I'm taking the main character design to define (Batman, Gordon, Allen and Ramirez). Let's see, of the Batman designs there were 2 excellent, 1 good, 1 regular and 2 bad, so good in Batman. Gordon appear 3 times, 1 great, 1 good and 1 regular, so good in Gordon. And Det. Allen and Ramirez appear also 3 times, 1 excellent, 1 good and 1 bad. Good also. So the designs were good.
Voice work: Simply outstanding. Andrea Romano got the best of her. And Kevin Conroy played, plays and will play (let's hope) the perfect Batman. Excellent
-So, between 2 excellent and 2 good, the "this type" of overall of the movie, gets a GREAT.
-Between the episodes score average, (which I think is the real one)...
Batman Gotham Knight gets a... 9!!
And finally, for those who are DC fans, it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, and if you don't it would be nice to watch for the animation and the visuals.
