LittleBigPlanet, Music, Football, Just An Update

Hello guys, long time since I've written anything, and I have some updates on my life

First and foremost, my football season is over. We lost in the first round of A division playoffs against the number 1 team in the city, so it's not that bad. This means that I have tons more time and my hands from friends, school, and most importantly, gaming!

Next up, I shall talk about my newest CD's. I just got Orchid, and My Arms, Your Hearse by Opeth. I'm not a HUGE Opeth fan, but I do enjoy a lot of their music. To me, these albums are kinda disappointing, which will probably enrage the fans of Opeth. The only song I really like out of the two is Demon of the Fall, off of MYAY. I also just bought my Wolves In The Throne Room CD, Two Hunters. Again, I'm not a HUGE fan of black metal, but these guys are much different. They don't portray the whole satanic devil's child image, instead a lot of their songs have to do with nature, which is pretty badass. Cleansing is my favourite track off ot the album, but all four songs are really awesome!

On to my gaming. A few weeks ago I bought SOCOM Confrontation, because I really didn't have much to play. This is my first SOCOM game, and despite a lot of the tech issues that everyone's crying about, I really enjoy it. I haven't had too many problems with lag and such, but when lag does hit, it really sucks. I decided to buy the headset package, even though I own two already The "Official" one is def. worth it however. I love the look of it sitting in it's dock. Other than SOCOM, yesterday I decided to go out and either get LittleBIGPlanet or Motorstorm 2. I know that most of you guys are freaking out at the thought that I'd even consider MS 2 over LBP, but I really loved the first one, and the addition of split-screen is amazing from what I've played in the demo. Alas, when it got down to it, the cute cry of Sackboy made me decide to snag a copy of LBP. When I got home, my brother and I literally sat down all night having some of the most fun I've ever had in a long time. My parents even came down to see what we were laughing so hard at. One cool comment that my dad made was the fact that a game like this can keep people my age (16) hooked even without all the blood, guns, and sex that a lot of popular games these days need. I'm really having fun with this, and I will delay my purchase of Resistance 2 until the end of the month so I can play this as much as possible Which brings me to my next point.

Resistance 2 vs Gears of War 2. Who will win? In all likelyhood, Gears 2. Why? The first game was and still is, the game that I've played the most since launch. I just keep coming back to the addicting online aspect, even though it's not that deep. There is nothing more fun than making fun of 12 year olds, then popping their heads of with a well-timed head shot. Does that mean I'm not excited for Resistance 2? Hell no. The IGN review has really got me thinking that it will be the game that Resistance 1 could've been. With the huge campaigns, epic online battles, and even more guns. This is an amazing week for shooter fans, be they PS3 or Xbox 360 owners. I will be picking up my copy of Gears 2 on friday, and probably won't buy any other 360 game (other than Left 4 Dead) for a long, long time.

    I'm Going To See AC/DC!!!!

So when AC/DC announced their world tour, I was insanely excited, but sadly couldn't get tickets to see them in Toronto. Yesterday however, I got a text from my friend saying his dad's company got a ton of tickets, and if I wanted to go! I replied in about 0.234 seconds saying yes, almost screaming it out loud during class I'm going to see them on January 9th at the Air Canada Center, and it's gonna be amazing!

    Opeth Was AMAZING!

So I saw Opeth on Sunday night, along with High on Fire. They both put on a spectacular show, but Opeth was literally jaw-droppingly epic! I wasn't a big fan of them, but thought it would be a good chance to see High on Fire (who are really awesome), but after seeing their amazing performance, I LOVE THEM. Their singer, Mikael Akerfield (or however it's spelled) was also hilarious! Overall, I had a really great time, ad bought a badass Opeth shirt
