  Offering Designing Help

  I don't know why but I feel inspired to help you users here to start designing =D

  Me: I have around a year's experience in designing and I am ranked reasonably high in skill compared to other users on this site though I am considered low ranked on hardcore designing sites
  
  Ask, ask, ask: You are free to ask on this blog as a comment or by PM. I remember having a lot of questions when I first started, don't be shy.
  
  Critique: You are also free to post finished sigs and I'll give you advice and critique.
  
  Very basic stuff: In order to design, you need software, I recommend GIMP, which is free. After getting your software, try to get the basics of sig designing with this very beginner friendly tutorial here. This one tut helped me a lot when I first started, and I highly highly recommend it to starters.

  Tutorials: If you want to learn from tutorials that I and other designers have made, you can view a list of them here. Tutorials are generally the quickest way to learn designing, but some steps in my tutorials are a little confusing and complicated for beginners and so I'll answer any questions on any steps in the tutorials that you may have.
  
  Requests: Now here's where stuff gets iffy. I used to take dozens of requests every week in 06-07, and I'd get bogged down with guilt if I didn't answer them. However, it's rather time consuming to make a banner/sig. (Avatar's don't take much time though)

  So my policy on requests is that I accept them if the conditions are reasonable (such as if your profile lacks a reasonable quality banner/avatar). However, in my opinion, it's not very fair to the designer to request a new banner/sig every 2 weeks just because you want to "change things up" or w/e. So take a look at what you got, and then decide if it's fair to request.

  Closing thoughts: I thought about making a union for purely helping designers, but I figured that since it would go inactive after a while, that I would just make it here semi permanently on my profile through this blog.
