Games have come up with plenty of novel ways to despatch enemies including shrink rays, exploding sheep and foul-mouthed chipmunks but I have found a new favourite in the excellent Mark of the Ninja. It's a great game and one that genuinely supports all styles of play. You can try and ghost through an entire level unseen and undetected or do the complete opposite and brutally murderise every last guard and their dog but as a cruel and essentially lazy ninja I prefer getting someone else to do the heavy lifting and this is where ravenous insects come into play.

Ravenous Insects

Lob a bag of these critters onto a bad guy and his entire body will be devoured in seconds, his tortured screams will terrify any nearby enemies so much that they may fire randomly into their own ranks which is very handy for that black-clad troublemaker chuckling in the shadows. At one point I managed to terrorize a guard so much that he backed off a platform and fell to his death. Even better was that the plummeting body landed at the feet of a second guard who then opened fire onto three of his buddies in pure panic. Pure bloody mischief never felt so good.

It's not a bug... it's a feature!

Sounds extremely fun! I sense some sadistic Japanese game developer behind this. lol

HAHA that sounds amazing.  I have never really looked that  much in to Mark of the Ninja, but I might just do it now.

Love the idea of a "lazy ninja"
