Urban Chaos:Riot Response, Riot Control is not on the way.

Start off with a hello, yes I am back with some new reviews of games. Urban Chaos:Riot Response, sounds like a good title with lots of action and suspense right, well wrong and wrong this game gets boring very quick and easy. You start off with a well thought out story that you are a former Army Man come back to save New York from the amounting gangs that have taken over the city. Ok, a fairly good story line right, but than the action in the game takes a toll for the worst.

The in game action is first person shooter style, which I am a fan. In this game for some reason it does not help things at all. The game's basic layout is that you go through a level and try to capture the gang leader alive with your teaser gun or riot grenades and each level has medals that they give to you it you completed that task. The tasks are the same through each level, Sharp Shooter(Head Shots),Detective(Find the Gang Masks through out the level usually five of them exist),Arrest/Non-Lethal Kills(Do not kill, use teaser or riot grenades), Capture the Gang Leader(Do not kill, like I did the gang leader). The reward for doing all that is upgraded weapons and armor, and believe me your riot shield comes in handly a lot. Well that leaves the mean old gangsters and gangs of New York City than right, because there is no one gang in New York or is there.

Well in the context of this game yes only one gang exists in New York The Burners. From the name of the gang it is not too hard to believe what they like to use right, Fire and lots of it. They breath it and spit it through the whole game, yes one little annoying gang, truth be told they do not have a lot of different members in that gang at all, in fact each gang leader looks the same. But they do use different weapons from time to time like a Cleaver or a Assault Rifle, they real skills to handle you brother. Believe it or not your Riot Shield can take all that and than some so use it a lot and save ammo, best part of the game for me was the Chainsaw, Slice and Dice. Nice part of the game is that when you do a special kill like using the chainsaw or riot shield you get a message on the screen saying something like Slice N Dice or Brutal.

Even with all that the game gets old fast after the first two levels you have pretty much play the whole game, So thats why I would say rent it from GameFly or Blockbuster because this is not a game to own at all I found that out the hard way.

Over All rating for this game is 7.0 out of 10.0, not a lot of real reasons to keep playing the game and lack of level design do not help a game at all.

Peace Out Fellow Gamers
