A terrible tribute to a remarkable movie.

UP is a charming tale of a man's journey, of trying to grant his wife's dream of moving to Paradise Falls. The game loosely follows the movie's plot in eleven levels of puzzle and adventure type game play. There are three playable characters that the player can choose from. Carl, Russell and Dug.

Unfortunately, the game is plagued with numerous glitches and game play hiccups that almost drag this game to its knees. Problems from catching on rocks and walls unable to move, to terrible A.I not performing what its supposed to do. Which results in frantic speed play in hopes you won't have to repeat a section of climbing and puzzle action. One example is Carl is unable to swim and you play as Dug to swim him around in deep water. Upon entering the water however, Dug simply stood there and Carl stayed put in the water, neither able to move, which needed a reload to fix. Other times the A.I will be too slow or just not seem to respond as they should. While it happens from time to time, it is frustrating to constantly have to reload checkpoints.

The game is colorful and the voice acting is in line with the movie which does at least help provide the game with some merit. Two player drop in is available and is highly recommend as it makes the game much more playable, and is fun. An older gamer playing with a younger gamer is probably the best way to play in this reviewers opinion.

Overall, the game is fun for a single play through, but most gamers will probably find themselves turned away from it.
