Over-all not a bad game, There's just not enough variety though.

User Rating: 5.5 | Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code PSP
This game's core is a good game especially for Diablo and Champions of Norath fans, but over-all the game just doesn't have as exciting of game-play.

THE GOOD

Decent music score and voice acting. The game's level's are very large and have a lot to explore. The game has a good amount of game-play for a PSP game, which is hard to find on this system. As, a fan of Hack and slash style games I still played through this game, meaning there is still something that kept me playing, so the game did at least do enough to have me play through the game. The game's controls also use a good method to have multi-function buttons.

THE BAD

The game has a very small variety of Weapons, you can basically only have about 5 to 6 types of weapons and they just do a little more damage as you go through the game. The Ranged weapons are pretty much useless, they do so little damage that I always just sold my ammo, and weapons of ranged variety. The game's story line isn't necessarily bad, it's just the way it's told. This is one of those games that you could skip all the cutscenes and Talking sequences and it would never effect the game and how you perceive it at all. The fighting does become very repetitive due to the fact that your spells are spread thin, and eventually you just want to stop using most of them. The game was also Pretty easy, I had trouble with maybe one of the bosses, and one time when I accidentally didn't have enough health potions. (At a point where there was no town to go to, to buy new ones.) In other games of this genre you tend to see extensive character customization options or puzzle levels or something, but this game just doesn't bring any of that to the table. Your character can only get to level 50, you can't make a lot of crazy new weapons, there's just none of those extra's that you would expect.

MULTI - PLAYER (Infrastructure)

The online play has a co-op mode where you can play through the story with someone else. the problem with this is there can only be two in a game for this mode. There are also other features such as capture the flag and death-match sort of game modes which is a nice touch. The mainly horrid thing about the online play is that I never saw more than 25 people online at once, meaning small amount of games to join, and also when you make a game you may have to wait a while before enough people join to start your game.

OVER-ALL

Over-all there is something about the game for fans of this type of game that will make you want to play on through the game, but for new-comers, or picky gamers (like me) this game is really just another average to bad game.
