A good solid hack and slash RPG which works well on the PSP.

I love RPG games and at the time of getting my PSP this was the only one available that I could buy.

I managed to import a copy from the States and started playing as soon as it arrived. First impressions were that it was good, nice and colourful, good sound and it looked fantastic on the PSP's sharp screen.

After a while though it did become a little repetative, it is basically a 'go to this location on the map and kill that' and then 'return here when you have killed that and I will give you something else to kill' type of game. On the way to these locations are many other things to kill so there is plenty of action in the game.

The action is basically point yourself in the right direction and hit the button fast until the monster drops. During the combat you can take a health and manna poition to keep you alive and afterwards, whatever you killed generally drops someting that you can pick up and either sell or keep to use.

The end of level bosses are quite tough and some require special tactics to kill them but there is nothing that you can't figure out easily.

All in all it is a good first attempt by SOE and one that kept me amused for quite some time. I would give it a try if you are looking for an RPG on your PSP as it is not really that bad, just don't expect too much depth.
