Not the greatest, but still worth a look for RPG fans.

Oh man, have I tried to love this game. The ninth game in Square-Enix's SaGa series is possibly the hardest and most complicated RPG I have ever played. The premise for the game is typical RPG fare but is more than se... Read Full Review

Biggest Letdown in all RPG history

Unlimited Saga was tempting to buy with the prologue to FFX2 included with it, but basically its a waste of money. Theres no real structure to the game and you arent even sure what it is your doing half the time. There ... Read Full Review

The Gaming Child's Review, Sadly dear fellow gamers we have been cheated of a good RPG to pass the time away. Yes, we all know that Gamespot's reviews can sometimes be harsh, but I'd have to agree with t... Read Full Review

    Akitoshi's Visual Fantasia

With the SaGa series, director Akitoshi Kawazu presented to us an avant-gardé style of console role-playing. Now, with what appears to be the final installment in the series, we are presented with a style of role-playing... Read Full Review

    A sad day for Square-Enix.

Look at any game store and you'll see that the cheapest Square-Enix/Squaresoft game there is Unlimited SaGa. The game is $3.99 used because it is total crap. The world isn't open ended like an RPG game should, the battle... Read Full Review

    it's not for everyone

Let me begin by saying that Unlimited Saga is not for everyone, with that said listen to me... I actually liked Unlimited Saga, of course I got my copy for 12 bucks and its a pretty good deal at that. You start out with ... Read Full Review

It's not for everyone's tastes, but for those that have the interest and patience, Unlimited SaGa can be very rewarding.

Although Unlimited SaGa has acquired a reputation as being a rather poor game in one of Square Enix's less-revered franchises, the game shouldn't be relegated to the trash heap without at least being tried. Unlimited Sa... Read Full Review

I'd recommend this only for those who have no other RPG's to play. But only as a last resort.

Be forewarned. Dont play this unless you are very, and i mean very very patient or are willing to go all out on this. Unlimited Saga really should and must only be played by either hardcore RPG gamers who have nothing el... Read Full Review

The further you get, the more tolerable the game seems, unfortunately, that doesn't make it good.

The SaGa series is largely hit-or-miss in how well its games play. Games like the old Romancing SaGas were highly enjoyable, and great RPGs in their own right. Sadly, Unlimited SaGa is one of the "miss" games of the seri... Read Full Review

"Unlimited Saga is revolutionary in that it calls for the creation of a new Classification: All Substance, No Flash."

"Very Hard" is an understatement, and not directed towards the game play itself, but the gamer's own personal attention span, love of stories, and limited patience in a generation of gamers where "All Flash, No Substance... Read Full Review
