What is you favorite retro Console? Mine would have to be the SNES, a close second would be the DOS operating system, there were so many great games!

Definitely the SNES, followed by the NES. Or the other way around, depending on my mood.

NES, I never had my own SNES, so I didn't play many games on it. I liked the Sega Genesis, but got bored because all of the games would blend together. I had a Sega Dreamcast for a bit, the only game I had was Darkstalkers, and I loved it. Though I have to stick with my NES, because of Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, and Dragon Warrior II.

SNES, no contest. Donkey Kong Country, Mario World, Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, there are just too many to list.

PS1 is probably my favorite out of the pre-last gen consoles. It's also the one I played the most.

loved the Gensis, played so many old Sonic games as a kid, played Shining Force and Phantasy Star 2 to death, and also had a great time with Golden Axe

I would say mine were (by generations) the NES, SNES, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 (even though I don't own one).

N64, it changed the face of gaming....

It forced Sony & Microsoft to step up to the plate, hence we have the XBox 360 (720) and the PS3 (PS4). Too bad they didn't follow up with something better than the Wii.

PS2, followed closely by GBA and SNES. Just the sheer variety in game genres.

SNES is definately among my all-time fav consoles. It sits with PS2 and GBA for me.

It's very interesting to think of all the SNES games that have been remade or re-released on future consoles. Final Fantasy III (FF6 in Japan) was re-released for PS1/PSN/GBA. Chrono Trigger was re-released for PS1/PSN/DS. Super Street Fighter 2 is now on the Virtual Console/PSN/XBLA/GBA (as Turbo Revival).

Then there are sequels and spin-offs of SNES games, like:

Secret of Mana = Sword of Mana (GBA) and Children of Mana (DS)

Zelda III A Link to the Past = 4 Swords for GBA and a VC re-release

Ogre Battle = N64 sequel and a VC re-release...

The list goes on and on.

I adored the Super Mario Advance series for GameBoy Advance. I used to own Super Mario Advance 4: SMB3. I still have my SMA3: Yoshi's Island placed on my DS Lite.

If if talkin' techy, the SNES was far superior to the Genesis. I wish more Genesis games could save.

that's true, saving would've been nice for some games, but as a kid i mostly just enjoyed playing them
