L.A. NoireL.A. Noire

An Aussie game being made by R* and Team Bondi {I was born in Bondi Sydney} It is said to be GTA where you play a 1940's cop.

Rockstar has confirmed via its official Twitter page that L.A. Noire is indeed in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I'll update this post soon.

It's being made by Team Bondi but R* is puting the money up for it. R* must think it's to their standards so it'll be good.

L.A. Noire Premier Trailer. Rockstar has confirmed that LA Noire is due for a 2011 spring release on the 360 and PS3.

I thought that the trailer was great. That's what i expected from Rockstar, they make the best free roaming games. Mafia II had a great story and great gameplay but nothing else, no sidequests nothing. I hope that LA Noire will be as good as GTA IV or RDR or maybe even better.

What do you mean by that?! There's plenty of open world games made by Rockstar... pretty much all of their games are.

Hi, I am really odd when it comes to games. I have a hard time finding games i enjoy on game systems. I usually just play PC games. So far I've only enjoyed Silent hill, still life, Syberia and now that we have PS3 I have not seen anything I would be into except Heavy Rain and I loved it. I've scrolled down to read more about the game L.A. Noire that I read about back in March. I've seen someone compare it to Mafia. In your opinion, would the the game play be more like mafia ( I've seen others play) or like the others I mentioned? Forgive me for being so ignorant when it comes to games.

Thanks, Mandy

Mafia and Mafia II are about the lives of regular people that get involved with the Mafia. In LA Noire you will step into the shoes of a 1930s cop in the time of corruption, drugs and alchohol.I expect the gameplay to be more like True Crime. The graphics are beautiful so far.Expected Release date: March 2011.

I also have some game recomendations for you.You could try Indigo Fahrenhit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America). It's made by the same people that made Heavy Rain. You could also try The Tunguska Files 1 and 2, if you like a bit of horror you can try Penumbra or Amnesia.

The name Fahrenheit is used for the Austral-asian games and Indigo Prophecy was used in the USA and UK. It is a great game made by the same people who made Heavy Rain (one of my favorites) and Omikron The Nomad Soul both you should be able to find second hand.

If you like stupid fun games Saints Row 2 is a lot like pre-GTA4 GTA games (though more extreme in the stupidity stakes). Grand Theft Auto 4 is more serious along with the Lost and the Damned Episode of Liberty City and a slightly more sillyer Ballard of Gay Tony Episode (both are DLC's and can now be brought on disc).

True Crime Streets Of New York is an old game but you can still find it around. You play as a guy who gets himself out of the gangs and into a police uniform. From there you decide if you are going to break the law or if your going to be a good cop. It's a gritty recreation of the real NY and does away with the weird Chinese ghost thing in Streets of LA.

Hope this helps

I was trying to post this yesterday but the glitch wouldn't let me in the thread. Thank you for posting

Heavy Rain did the same technique to create it's characters and this one seems to be taking it thurther. I love that this is NOT a GTA clone and seems to have incorperated RPG elements as well.

Oh I'm stickying this thread.

really looking foward for this game. after I read the first look it seemed like something totally different from any game that I've ever played. there are investigation tools, the way people look at you, man this is completely new. also it's a rockstar open-world, so taking from gta series, I'm relaxed on this subject. the graphics are great also and at the top, you actually play as a cop, there are few games that you're actually play as a cop. now I'm just hoping for some info on the main story and side quests.

I agree! Although it is actually a Team Bondi (The Dev crew) Open World game. R* are only the publishers.
