Lately many teams (Boston Bruins especially) have been engaging in large scale fights sometimes including the goaltenders, many have been disturbed by this, others have cheered it on. In my personal opinion, i find these fights entertaining and penalties are being handled fairly. Suspending players and fining teams will not solve anything. What do you guys thinnk?
All I can say is that "its part of the game". Its an intense game, and emotions and compete levels can boil over. That's what makes this game so beautiful...in its own brutal wayu
Well considering they allow 1 on 1 fights it seems odd to crack down on full team brawls when most of the guys are getting involved just to help protect their own guys. Although I do find goalie fights pointless. Sure they're entertaining and rare, but the goalies have 0 contact the entire game, so its not like they've been trash talking the entire time. There's no need to risk injury.
I love fighting, and I miss it, it was way more prevalent in the old days. I miss a good old line brawl!!! Stupid Bettman and his attempted taming of the league . . . goals aren't everything.
