enough with assassin's creed overhypeness, it is nothing special and actually it is one of the most shallow games. do ot get me wrong, i do like them but saying that uncharted is shallow whereas assassin's creed is not is moronic at best.

@painpas - Did you play oblivion? the towers are what you had to infiltrate every time you entered the oblivion realm. you could run into the portals anytime you came across one but there were a few that were main quest points.

McShea I was wrong and you have earned my respect. Van Horn and Sinclair always had my respect. Host.... What are the Oblivion towers? Again Uncharted series has done things for gaming that will be emulated for years to come with awesome narrative and gameplay. I think that like tetris moved to lumines, DMC to GOW, Nes Zelda to OOT, Mario to SMG you have a game that will be a standard bearer. It is true that MGS still stands as does other one off games that were not succefully emulated.

@TomMcshea I was already planning on choosing uncharted 3, but i will most definitely choose it on condition that you guys have a Catherine spoilercast. If you guys are going to have a spoilercast type thing for battlefield 3, then you had better have one for Catherine.

@Kevin-V regarding you not knowing of anyone who intentionally writes divergent-scored reviews, Destructoid's Jim Sterling has written many reviews where the final score seemed deliberately divergent from sensical thinking. Some examples (from what I can remember): Deadly premonition - 10/10 Assassin's Creed II - 4.5/10 The Witcher II - 6/10 While I can concieve of someone disliking The Witcher II enough to rate it at a 6, I both cannot concieve of someone rating Assassin's Creed II as anything less than a 5, and even that's an exaggeration. And Deadly premonition, while supposedly awesome in its own right (I've unfortunately been bereft of the opportunity to play it), has been widely remarked for several objective faults - there is no sensible way in which it would be a 10/10. So, while they are few and far between (I think he's the only actual relatively mainstream critic that does this), there are precedent which, at times, cause some people to doubt the veracity of some reviews.

@Rankor_Mugnam, for sure! I think he got pretty annoying on the video; trying to be a smart ass and one-uping everyone!

There was totally a series of counter-fitting mission in GTA: Vice City. Good discussion about the cinematic gaming stuff, very interesting.

@thurinthurinam That may be true, but that's nearly all of video game stories. At least the big titles. With movies, you get plenty of stories that aren't blockbusting action fests. The crew seems to want greater and constant variety in the stories of video games. That would be nice to have.

Oh and I forgot to mention: You guys don't like the story in the games? Feels like class B movies? What are you expecting?? Oscar material?? lol The plot of some games is even better than the plot of many movies, in my opinion ;-)

I agree with what Kevin said about the reviews are not supposed to please everybody but sometimes always trying to be "unique" and going against the flow is as silly as trying to please the masses. As I pointed before, the criteria to review Uncharted 3 (giving a lower score than Uncharted 2 because the campaign felt the same, although the multiplayer has being improved [yes, I played both multiplayers]) was different than the one used to review other games e.g. Dark souls. That's what generates all the fuss among gamespot's readers, this contradiction between reviews and reviewers. And no, I don't believe you guys get paid by Sony or Microsoft or anybody lol

@Eribuster_basic One for corrections next week! I saw that match, it was amazing.

Nice show. The GSL October Final was a match between IM_Mvp and SlayerS_MMA with MMA being the victor. It was not IM_Mvp vs. Sen.
