@rebfaction i think thats a load of rubbish this game is really realistic. if your referring to the free running, yes it may look unrealistic but ive seen a real program about free running and there was a guy on roller skates who was jumping bulidings. so yes some of it may be unrealistic but most of it is pretty real. The storyline isnt the say theres always a different storyline. He's not still running to find el dorado is he, Thats what i think
I like to know what makes this game technically more advanced than any-other game made high vibrant glossy cartoonistic graphics is not what I call the best looking graphics and the atmospheric breaklng up\apart (a-lot of stuff moving all at once)is nothing new the sound music and story dose not make this game technically more advanced. I have Uncharted 1 and 2 the game is good not a great game in my opinion just like this game the same old game play nothing new this game is getting repetitive. I still see Uncharted as a Tomb Raider rip-off and there is no difference in game play Uncharted is more of a shooter. the way the character move in the environment is not very realistic. I am buying when the game is at $29.99.
@redweed You've just clarified my point. Having not been able to play the Uncharted games you are incorrectly likening them to a more polished tomb raider. They arent much like tomb raider at all! They have exploration yes but they are also 3rd person shooters. And what makes them great is the movie like atmosphere, its the characters, the banter as you play, the amazing set pieces, the great shooting dynamics, the graphics sound and animation. Areas of the game that involve exploration have similarities to tomb raider yes but thats the same as saying Assassins Creed is like Batman Arkham City because you can climb buildings. I'm not having a gripe I'm just informing you because on the surface watching videos like this it may seem to be a Tomb Raider-esque game and you may be right that without tomb raider this may not exist but until you play it you dont appreciate the originality and the forging together of genres that sets Uncharted apart, and trust me it doesnt ever feel like a Tomb Raider game and even when Lara Crofts adventures improve, as it looks like they are going to, I doubt they will give the perfectly crafted Uncharted games anything to worry about.
Now i want it more than i wanted before omfg.....gonna be awesome....to me is definitely game of the year and i not even played it yet

Perhaps it's because I grew up in the Lara Croft era, but..... (and prepare your index finger to click on the thumbs down icon) Uncharted, much like Mass Effect is one of those series where critics adore it and the majority of people really rate it but I don't see what all the hype's about. Both were good, don't get me wrong but I didn't think either were particularly standout. I played the U3 BETA and wasn't impressed, the new customisation options are great but the game play didn't feel as tight as Uncharted 2 to me. I know it's just a BETA but I played the Uncharted 2 BETA and little had changed; it seems Naughty Dog use it more as a propaganda platform then an actual quality test. No doubt this game has some impressive visuals (some of the finest I've seen on consoles alongside God Of War 3, KZ3 and Crysis 2) and I'll probably pick it up once the price has dropped because I'm sure it'll still be a good game, I doubt it'll blow me away though. On a personal level I think Drake's character design is particularly weak and unremarkable for a triple A title; he's too much of an "average Joe" for me. Compare him with characters like Kratos from God Of War or Wheatley from Portal 2 and there's no comparison. Apparently on these sites, I'm "not allowed" to be critical of anything if it falls outside the mainstream. I like most PS3 exclusives, Gran Turismo, God Of War, Killzone and Resistance in particular, just not Uncharted all that much.
Wish I could buy this game on day one but I live inChina where they dont sell PS3 games anywhere so Im kinda screwed
Yeah there is a Co-op campaign I believe as when I playing the early multiplayer at the moment they have it listed. Also you can play the full multiplayer now if you have Playstation Plus.
I don't see the comparison of Uncharted 3 to Dark Souls all in all. I think they are Xbox 360 fanboys trashing out Uncharted. Hehe. :)
Jus got my free pass to play UC3 until 10/31/11 from subway, I love how ND released the beta and are now letting us play the mp for a month before it even comes out, those guys got class

looking fu%$ing awsome.... didnt watch the whole thing though because i am going to get my hands on this game.... as far as the guys who are torching the place, they screwed with the wrong guys..... i am talking about they messed with nathan and sully. Nathan and Sully I hope you put lead in their a%%... Nathan and Sully, you guys ROCK!!!! the game is looking radically awesome and i cant wait to have another mind blowing adventure with my best friends.... and that is Nathan Drake, Sully, and others good heros...
Voice_of_Wisdom you ****ing idiot! "interactive movie"!?!? He's controller the character the entire time from platforming to gun fighting. Only foolish people will compare this to Dark Souls.
Production values seem incredible, for sure. But gameplay itself seems too shallow, with no challenge at all, little more than an interactive movie. For those who want a real GAME, go get Dark Souls.
Drake is always in trouble, but he's still one of the best video game characters ever. I can't wait for the game to come out.
80% animation and games mine, same mechanics of the others, very linear and depends on certain sequences to continue the same trajectory as well .. they will give a good note, it's impossible to understand this assessment
