Ok...yeah, it's ok

User Rating: 7 | Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3

Aaaaannndd here we go again with another Uncharted game. Yes, it's good. Yes, it has all that cinematic blockbuster hollywood action movie feel to it. NO, it did not surprise me...except for that ***SPOILER*** water cemetery sequence....oh, i paid $30 for this game and it was all for that section. But NO, Uncharted did not surprise me at all...it felt like a forced vacation to me. Let's get to it.

STORY: it's uncharted dude....something taken from an indiana jones movie or romancing the stone, and bullets fly all over the place, double 007 style. You know that's about it. If you are new to this...let's sum it up like this: Drake has a stone, some old lady hag wants to have that stone now matter what, because the stone has some sort of power and what not. Then, Drake will remember bits and pieces of how he got that stone and how he met Sullivan. Then he loses the stone, he must get it back. And then twist and turns from then on...I will not spoil anything...but if you've seen any Indiana Jones flick or played previous Uncharted entries, you know how it rolls. And if you haven't then play the game, i will not say more than that.

GRAPHICS: polished, rich, vibrant, detailed, fluid, i mean gosh i can go on....the WATER SECTION!! there is a sequence there.............i got myself killed over and over again JUST to play that section again.....friggin amazing! Again, every dollar i paid was justified by that section alone. If that section was not there....this game would have been Uncharted DLC in my humble opinion. That just how important that section is to me. Naughty Dog nailed it big! I will not say which section i refer to exactly, cause that would be a spoiler. Just go to the water part....and you will know immediately what am talking about. It has old boats on it...that's as much as i will say.

GAMEPLAY: if you played uncharted before you know what to expect, only this time the up close fighting was really nice and brutal. I enjoyed beating the crap out of dudes with drake's fist every time i could. If Naughty Dog would do an all out Brawling game!! that would be a really good idea.

SOUND: every sounds like it's supposed to...the dialogue as always is spot on. On this game the Drake's catch phrases on dire situations did not appear as much like on the second Uncharted game, still the dialogue between cast was superb.

REPLAY VALUE: for the single player....am not gonna bore you, but i will say it AGAIN, the darn WATER SECTION (with the old boats) it's all money's worth. The rest...i won't say forgettable, but put it this way, Naughty Dog set the standards way to high with Uncharted 2. For another Uncharted game to beat it....FOR NOW, it won't happen. Probably on the PS4 you might get something beyond Uncharted 2 standards. As a matter of fact, that's why I believe they did Last of Us...something different, away from the Uncharted series. And it worked! That's why if Naughty Dog is Reading this, please do a Brawling game like the ones on NES like Double Dragon!! PLLEEEASSSEEEEEE!

In the end, the SINGLE PLAYER is good. If you played and enjoyed Uncharted 2, this game feels more like an - "I need to play Uncharted 3, cause everyone is saying is great" - type of deal; except for the WATER SECTION (yes, i know am beyond "again") which really packs a punch. Uncharted 3 or any other Uncharted game on this series that may come out, has BIG standards to overcome, due to the success as mentioned before, of it's predecessor. Uncharted 3 tried to, but was not quite there. REMEMBER, this is my humble opinion. If you have not played Uncharted 2, play that one first and then play Uncharted 3. Keep in mind, I have not said (in this case written) "do not BUY or PLAY Uncharted 3". That would be stupid of me to say that. This game is worthy of any ones game collection. Just that in comparison to number 2, 3 is not up to it.

Also, I have not said anything about the MULTIPLAYER as i was unable to run the multiplayer on my PS3. Probably it's a glitch on my PS3 system but it takes forever to download...and it crashes when trying to do so. Therefore I will not comment anything on the MULTIPLAYER.

This game now is cheap so just go ahead and buy it....THE WATER SECTION!!! remember THE WATER SECTION!!! jajajajajja
