Uncharted 2- Best Action/Adventure game of 2009, one of the best games this generation.
GRAPHICS: Simply amazing. The atmosphere of a Tibetan village you visit is simply beautiful and the panoramic view it displays- gorgeous. The character animations are lifelike, like a real person sent into a video game. The amount of detail of expression in the characters' faces is very high. Textures are sharp and colorful, and the cutscenes are NOTHING less than blockbuster-quality.
GAMEPLAY: Uncharted 2 borrows alot of elements from its older brother. The gunplay is still here, but somewhat died down. Now the game features more puzzles, platforming, and stealth. Stealth takedowns was a great feature that was actually incorporated into the game many times, and not simply once or twice. Over-the-top action scenes are thrilling and exciting. Imagine taking out baddies on a train going 300mph through the Himalayan countryside- with a chopper in the air. The single player lasted me about 12-14 hours.
AUDIO/SOUNDTRACK: The music ALWAYS matches the cutscene, as in any Uncharted game. I actually had my emotions pulled at during some of the cutscenes, whether it be anger, shock, or even sadness. The soundtrack is fantastic. Voiceacting? Great.
ONLINE: Not fantastic, but very good for a game that is very heavily focused on single-player. There is a perk-like system which, to some players, is unfair because some of the perks are overpowered, such as one in particular that lets you see through walls. Is this Resistance? Anyways, its not too complex. Its team-deathmatch, free for all, etc. game modes, and you can unlock new skins and guns, which is very cool.
