Ever hear people raving about something, then you try it out and you're disappointed? Uncharted 2 is opposite of that :)

User Rating: 9.5 | Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PS3
Uncharted 2 is something that really shook up the gaming world, winning over 200 GOTY awards and drawing hundreds of impressive reviews. The gaming world had never experienced anything like it. Nathan Drake returned with something that was shown at e3 but believed to be cutscenes as they were too good to be true. Uncharted 2 is one of the first games to ever put you in a joy ride for over eight hours of gameplay that will leave you and your friends with your jaws hanging. This game will glue you to your seat and make you want to call out of work. I know I definitely wanted to. I couldn't believe such realness and techincallity could be achieved on a console. The characters are real and you feel like you're playing an actual movie, but Uncharted lets you enjoy gameplay and doesn't just leave you watching. The dialog and humor in the gameplay makes Uncharted 2 one of those games that you will enjoy playing but your friends won't nag at you to play a multiplayer game. Uncharted 2 is enjoyable for both the player and spectators. The graphics are still one of the best on consoles even as of today and the story and how it guides the gameplay is what makes it impressive and enjoyable. The characters are presented in a way that will make you care about them and worry about their outcomes.
The game has lots of different elements including stealth, platforming, shooting, QTE, puzzles and hand-to-hand melee, all done with consistent perfection so it doesn't feel like one element was done with more time and attention than the other. It all blends so well and comes together to present an excellent gaming experience that you'll never forget. Uncharted 2 also has a very impressive multiplayer with different modes and maps. If there's any game this gen that's well worth 60 bucks or 100 bucks for the collectors edition, Uncharted 2 is one of them. You will not be disappointed. :)
