Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has taken the concept of it's predecessor, and transformed into a beast of a game that makes you fall in love with Nathan Drake's world all over again. From the very start this game has the feeling of a blockbuster. The opening scene with Drake clinging from a dangling train wreck in the Himalayas sets the tone for the game. The slow climb to safety is regularly hampered by falling rocks and the movement of the train wreck. Nothing in Drake's world is simple, and this is the beginning of things to come.

As Drake clambers out of the train you can see exactly what Naughty Dog have been working on. The opening scene on the Himalayas is breath-taking with the gorgeous back-drop of the mountains only adding to the detail of Drake's snow-covered body. Each and every location that Naughty Dog throws at us is as magnificent and only adds to the intensity of the game.

The controls feel very fluid, as every jump feels like Drake's last. However Drake always manages to cling to the walls, giving you a sense of satisfaction and danger. The fighting in the game is well-balanced with the use of silent kills and all-out fire-fights, often giving the player the choice.

The addition of online multiplayer games is always beneficial, and in Uncharted 2 they adopt the best of Gears of War and Call of Duty online modes, with small intense fight in third-person action, and the ability to have perks that can help you in the heat of battle.
A thoroughly enjoyable game, that only improves on the original.
