Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for Xbox Live Arcade is a reintroduction to the classic MK series brought to the next generation. It will remind you of the good, old days when Mortal Kombat was played on the older systems such as Super NES and Genesis. Ten years later it is still as enjoyable to play. It is much more competitive now considering that you can battle with friends and challenge opponents online. There is a whole range of players from the novice to the more advanced. Be wary though because the elite collection of MK connoisseurs will show no remorse, and mercilessly bring you down.

Yet, disregarding the intensity of online play, I still have to recommend Ultimate MK 3. I do not own many Live Arcade games, but this was one I had to have on my list. This is a classic game that any lover of the fighting genre should collect. With the ease of Xbox Live, you can download, pick up and play this game without discomfort or worry. Also, you cannot beat a price of 800 Microsoft Points.

Pros: Addictive, old-school gameplay; classic MK fighters brought to the next generation of gaming with online capability;

Cons: General online play experience can be discouraging when fighting against the standard, obnoxious Xbox Live players;
