Killzone 2 boosts some of the best graphics on the genre, but clunky controls and near immortal enemies push it down!

Graphics: No one can deny that Killzone 2 as the best graphics around because its true, weapons shine in your hands and many times as you reload you can see the mechanics working inside, its simply amazing. And helping you immerse even more in this game is the incredible sound, no one can say that played killzone and didnt feel like he was in the middle of a war figthing for their theyre lives, because it feels perfect, the smoke covering your view, the cloudy sky, the constant faraway gunfire, everything is beautiful.
Gameplay: Theres a lot been going on about slow controls and clunky movements but thats not the issue here. The real issue is the fact that the game lacks a lot of polish, its true that the game looks amazing but it seems the producers neglected gameplay, cover feels clunky and never really covers you because you still get easily shoot and its a bit idiotic when you run out of bullets and your characther doesnt reload on its on, sometimes because you have yet to let go of the sights button or simply because it doesnt want to. Also i think this is the first game in which youre more accurate while not using the sights then while you're using them, because even if you have the green dot of your AR on top of an helghast, 90% of the bullets will miss, its illogical. Another flaw which seems to be spreading to a lot of games is the fact that most enemies will need a whole mag of rounds to die, its so annoying to point at a group of foes, empty youre mag and see that in the end only one died and the rest are already flanking you, which leads to obvious deaths in which you are able to kill one enemy but the rest who follow im move up and kill you. Its frustating.Weapons are ok for the most part, shotguns are powerfull and rocket launchers pack a punch and theres even a particular part in which you defeat an boss with a lightning bolt gun and you get to use it, with unlimited ammo, its amazing. And talking about boss`s, its strange, i already mentioned that killing normal foes might be a pain the ass, but its bloody ridiculous how easy you can kill big enemies like colossus or that ligthning gun guy, the collosus for example who packs a big machine gun and wheres impenetrable armour, only needs a shot to the head to turn him around and then a mag to his back tanks so that he blows up, its a bit ridiculous, they arent even accurate with their guns, and the friendly AI doesn't help, many times in the situations mentioned above they will simply run into the gunfire and get shot, unlike the intelligent helghan who use constant cover and rarely move up until youre near death, like i said this game lacks a lot of polish.
Story: Another weak point about Killzone, for the most part its not that bad but its the characthers themselves that make the story unrealistic, the alpha team the team to which you belong seem to be just a bunch of rowdy roughnecks who somehow made it into the army just to yell **** everywhere: "open that **** **** more helghast, shoot that **** **** and so on, they dont even behave like what you would expect of a soldier, like a certain scene in which rico simply doesnt wait for you to flank the enemies and goes berserk on them, its not natural. I was going to mention multiplayer as well but the fact is this, because of the same problems mentioned above, and the constant connection problems i wont even mention multiplayer. Killzone could have been a lot more and like most shooters nowadays they should have looked at the side and at least see why some games were being so successful, they shouldnt have changed the formula and ruin the game, still killzone will still give players a thrill, and a feel of rush that although not worth the buy, its still worth a rent.
