So many good points, but let down by a CPU biased reversal success whilst scrapping in the ground game.
But when playing against the CPU, I have got to Heavyweight title shots and defending title etc, only to of just finished 3 rematch's with Brock Lesnar as I turned the xbox off after the end of the first 2 in a fit of rage lol, after being pounded with endless reversals as soon as Lesnar took me to the ground (just the one time!) and got KO'd 3 matches in a row after giving Lesnar a good beating in the stand up.
I counted the 3rd rematch to see if I was being a bit irrational thinking reversals were going on for frikkin ever, but Lesnar took me to the ground with a stupidly long take down attempt (which human players would never get success in), he had me at full energy and he was at full energy too, my take down def and ground defence are 90 and 92, yet no struggle to take me down and then 21 reversals n a row over 3 minutes and KO'd me, pathetic.
Whilst I can deal with being beaten by the CPU, I cant stand pointless and just plain annoying CPU tactics that lead to scripting in fights. So basically u have lost before u begin on UFC 2009 when the CPU decides it is time to lose.

Player momentum is odd at times to, you can land a powered stop kick on a CPU's head as they shoot in for the takedown and they still complete the takedown. I have been held in the whip/clinch for over 2 minutes by several fighters even when my energy is at 80% plus.
Apart though from these really annoying flaws, this UFC 2009 has really got some good potential for human v human gaming I reckon, but I have not had chance to try that out yet due to being a billy-no-mates lol.
So the game was cheap and I will keep it for random games nights etc and I reckon any person who likes a good fight game will be pleased with this game for £5-10, but full price would of pee'd me off to be honest as the CPU cheats, and I am only playing on regular/medium level, so christ knows what the higher levels are like, probably will make me throw my xbox out the window, so no more CPU games on UFC for me. I do not like scripted games and shore as poop dont like being reversed 21 times in a row!
Jog on THQ with your lack of effort in the CPU tactics department, maybe you boys should go work for EA Sports, they are the masters of scripted CPU game play.
