What's a better way to know New York City, than to build it from scratch?

It was 2006 and New York City was built. Yes, you heard me correctly.
City Tycoon: New York offers you to see how the city was build, by doing it yourself. You have one district to begin with and some cash. By fulfilling the opportunities (and you will fulfill them as there is nothing better to do) you unlock more districts, more buildings and more upgrades, and by taking little steps, you will sooner or later end up on top of the city's richest list. Because you should know, you're not the only one with the urge to build: there is competition (slow and rather stupid, but still, competition). There are 13 districts altogether, and 40 unique landmarks to be built. Each district is different, and the opps are diversified. The architecture is also polished beautifully: the apartments, houses, work places are all finished with amazing details.
Building NYC is turning out to be as realistic as fun, actually: there are no time restrictions, not duties, and no punishments: you can basically do what you want, when you want and where you want it. The difficulty is easy to very easy, not one opp is a head scratcher, which adds to the fun. Having said that, it's important to notice that the game is not a very challenging one: some will probably say that the difficulty level is way to low. Still, the game has that NYC feeling, and overall, it's extremely well done, and much attention is paid to the details, which, as we all know, are what truly count.
I recommend this game: it will give you at least a week of great fun. Who knew building NYC can be so relaxing?
