Great game completely let down by the ending

First of all if you have played TW1 and are thinking that this will just be more of the same think again. Everything in TW2 has been improved, re-thought and brought bang up to date. All of those little annoyances that people complained about in TW1 such as certain potion ingredients poisoning you etc. have been done away with showing that the developers spent some time going through the various whines and whinges before putting pen to design document.

The above being said however there are still one or two areas that could have done with a little more work but these are minor and do not impact on gameplay.

So what is the game like? Graphics are very good and can compete with most other rpg's out there. Gameplay and combat have been improved a great deal and the animations are smooth and fluid. Quests are well done and there are a lot of them so enough to keep you busy en-route to the ending. Voice acting is way better than TW1 which, let's face it, were awful but still not up to the standard of say a Bioware game; but then Bioware spend a crap load on voice actors.

But what is the story like I hear you cry. Decent but not earth shattering. I'm not going to give anything away but it pretty much continues from where TW1 left off with you out to rescue your sister, however, you do get the feeling that you are just plodding along in order to level up for the ending. Guys and girls take your time because the ending is where the game really falls flat on it's face with the last boss fight something that I can only describe as pathetic, not to mention the endgame sequence. Also, do not leave anything valuable in your personal chest in the room that the orcs give to you because once you finish the main story you can't get in that room again.

For a new game TW2 is surprisingly light on bugs but those that remain should really have never cleared quality control and a few heads need to roll in that department. Not played multiplayer yet so can't cvomment.

Overall a very enjoyable game until you get to the end, you have been warned.
