Way better than twisted metal 3, they start to get the series back on track with this game.

After twisted metal 3, which to me was the least impressive game of the series, I had high expectations for twisted metal 4, which I I thought that they would learn from some of their mistakes in the last game and would improve on the features and try to get things back to twisted metal 2. They did not get things back to twisted metal 2, but they did a good job with this game anyway. The levels are much more fun to explore, there are new weapons to use. My personal favorite was the freeze remote, which I used to kill alot of opponents. The storyline really caught my attention, as I am a fan of sweet tooth. I always wanted him to take the competition over, because he was the most popular fighter in the competition. Now he finally had the chance too. And he does a good job giving each winner a twisted metal style wish that they ask for when they win. I liked the weapons alot, even though they did not have the sound effects and explosions as twisted metal 2. The create a car mode was not that good, they could have had more options and more special weapons avaliable. I liked the commentary on each character too, you could hear what they sounded like and its really funny to me. Overall, this is a decent game, especially with multiplayer capability, on a level like Road Rage, you would have fun for many many hours.
