Let's wait and see. I could see new characters and modes being added. I'll probably wait and get this off of EBay for under $30. I don't think it's worth $60.

yeah i understand if the dlc is extra maps ,but i dont se why we gotta pay for character and cars when they should be in the game the first place

I'm playing this game at the current moment. My copy won't work for some reason as I get an error code but at my friends it's sick online. Nuke mode is a blast

@hsyd Your missing the point. It is totally disappointing. Im not going pay MORE money for characters that should have been apart of the original product. Thats a CORE part of TM gameplay, the CHARACTERS!!! Its half of the equation for me. The gameplay is amazing, but without an arsenal of beautiful interesting characters to choose from, my experience was sabotaged. So in my opinion, they bombed big time on this release. BIG. FRICKIN. TIME. Shame on you Santa Monica studios. You messed up big time. It baffles me. Sweet Tooth is the only enjoyable character on that note.

mercs2? at least mercs2 had a friggin storyline and likable characters, fighting factions, rebelling against them. this is just more 1995 deathmatch shash. carpocalypse. but, at least it will keep the kids off the better co-op team fps games. oh wait, they play codmw2 and 3, don't they? yawn

so theres only three possible stories/ endings...thats disappointing as a TM vet - but does it ever seem to make up for that in every other way! cant wait to get my hands on this one. who knows, DLC may bring more endings ? :)

Fantastic review Carolyn, this is my all time favorite franchise in the history of my life. Been playing since the first one and I mean HARD! Your review was very fair, and dead on. When I played the game, I had no complaints and was not left cheated by your accurate review. I'm saddened by the lack of characters because for me, that was the biggest draw to the game. I love the game play don't get me wrong, but getting to choose whatever car you want is a setback for the series. I kind of liked how the game forced you to play as every character. Not only to see all the differ endings, but as you kept playing with every character you discover there strengths and weaknesses so when you return to your favorite car you know just how to handle them all.

Oops, well the development is actually amazing then which proves the excellent looking online play.

Since this video game was like five years in the makings, there is bound to be very creative weapons.

will buy it on Fri, just because people say it is hard , it is good that it has challenge. Being an old fan it's a must .

I wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I am having now with TM. Quite honestly, now that the networking issues are largely fixed (still a little more to go), this game's MP stands up there with my favorites this gen: Killzone 2, and Call of Duty 4. I hear a lot of Warhawk fans praise this too. Split-screen was insane fun when I had my buddies over, and there is just so much fun to be had from a 2 v 2 or 16 player brawl. Last Man Standing is intense as hell, and Nuke mode is amazing. I know it doesnt LOOK fun, and I know it LOOKS outdated, and I know the idea of a car combat game sounds weird, but I am blown away and amazed with this game. I really praise this to be an ironically refreshing game, it's become my dedicated MP game and looks to be that way for a long time My major disappointment is lack of characters and the 4 characters sharing everyone's vehicles. As a TMB player, it doesnt feel right and I know others would agree, but that's miniscule compared to the rest of the game. Major kudos to ESP

@markvons I would of, but because of the awesome online pass, if I wanted to sell it at a profit I had to not use it and therefore I couldn't try the multiplayer. But yeah maybe if I had try the multiplayer, it would of been great and I wouldn't have sold it. But now we'll never know, god bless online passes.

looks great, the cutscenes, the gameplay, definately gonna buy it... but reminds me of good old carmageddon, would love a new one as well :'(

2:25 reminds me of Christopher Walken. He should be cast if they made a movie of this game in the shenre of Expendibles.
