Story (6/10)
Twisted Metal II follows in the footsteps of the original. Calypso is back and willing to grant any wish to the winning competitor. When you win the tournament with a vehicle, you see a short minute-long movie about the final wish, which is better than the scrolling text you saw in Twisted Metal.

Gameplay (7/10)
Car combat is pretty self-explanatory, but if you don't know the Twisted Metal games, a number of vehicles are placed in an arena (or city) and fight to the death. Weapons are much more numerous in Twisted Metal II, but the variety is gone, for better or for worse. The homing missiles, power missiles, and napalms are still there, but most of the mines and oil traps are gone. Each vehicle has its own special weapon, which regenerates slowly over time. Gone are the annoying platforms to restore health, replaced by health packs that can be picked up by running them over. Also gone are the annoying pedestrians shooting missiles at you, replaced by less annoying pedestrians that no longer shoot at you. Running over ten pedestrians also restores some of your health.

Graphics (6/10)
Much better than last year's, but glitches still abound in Twisted Metal II.

Durability (7/10)

Final Thoughts:
Twisted Metal II is simply a better version of Twisted Metal with some more characters.
