If theres one underated game in history this is it!!!
I'm not the hard core gamer but when I stumbled upon this, what can only be called, fairly cheaply made game I fell in love with it. Like many Acclaim games the game feels old and the graphics are blured but the detail of the plants and dinosaurs is amazing, the background stuff is really bad 2D stile though so that lets it down. Another major fault is the fact that you're gie is one foot tall... hes smaller than the rose bushes for crying out loud.
Weapons range from a simple club to a pistol, to a sniper pistol, to a spiked grenade, to a high tech plasma like gun and then to the god of all weapons... the ROCKET LAUNCHER. I t may have limited ammo but who dosn't love blowing everything up into smitherines, especially great big T-Rex's.
Detail can be well or poorly done. Good detail includes the fact you can knock down smaller trees and slaughter inocent dinosaurs and the levels are casta nd expansibve. Poor detail includes very similar repeditive enemys and controlls while climbing vines and laders are poor.
Exploring every level without having to do much collecting of pointless items only really guns and other weapons is good and the fairly well vareid levels especially in terms of hieght are quite impressive.
All in all this is one if not Acclaim Austin's finest works... despite the fact the company is now bust! Anyway even now this is a very enjoyable addictive adventure of epic proportions!
