Its sad that this is the only recent god-game we have on the console

I really need something that isn't hectic. something i can stop and think or simply experiment with.... recline in my couch and veg while half playing half sleeping. i'm just sick of more-of-the-same games action-adventure-FPS/RPG type games. plus i'm sick of sitting completely upright or not being able to get in a relaxed position while using a mouse + keyboard...

and when i saw tropico on 360-Live my eyes lit up - "that's what i need, a god-game on the console" ... so i promptly downloaded the demo and played for a few hours.

while it is mildly addicting, and something i may actually end up buying it, seems very unpolished. not in the sense of bugs or glitches, but little things like:
-the dialog box covering part of the building you are trying place
-the controls being nearly-impossible-to-remember button combo's
-there being no explanation of what the maintenance costs for placing a building will be until after you place it.
-a way to truly forecast (or even roughly) your net income - that makes sense at least...
-whether the building MUST be against the road to function or not.
-why a certain farm still has $0 returns after several years.
-whether fishing buildings and cattle ranches earn income or simply feed the people
-if a cannery makes fish/pineapple/etc something to be profited from or if it works independant of those buildings, and what the profit per building type is for that matter.

more than anything, it bothers me that if i buy this game it wont be because it is "good" but because it's "good enough" and the only option available. at least it's only $20...
