A strong and interesting platformer.

Overall: 8.0/10.
This is a strong platformer that will make you play it until the finish. That time, however, isn't that long. There is skills and artefacts that will keep you interested, and even make you go back to previous levels to collect more experience.

Graphics: 8.0/10.
The environment of the maps really impress me. Everything is easy to se and still there is not one dull part of the levels. Though when not using anti-aliasing you'll notice a lot of bad sharp edges. Still, it's all you could ask in a platformer.

Sound: 9.0/10.
The music is soothing and will not make you bored, it has that adventuring feel to it. The voice acting is good, especially from the storyteller. The sound effects is solid and you always know what's happening when you hear them - as for the spawning sound for instance.

Game play: 7.5/10.
There is little choices to be made in terms of progression in the game, but there is a lot of action and you need to be focused all the time. However, the way you manipulate your surroundings - mostly with your wizard - is a welcoming ingredient. To collect experience by exploring AND killing enemies is good and I also like the artefacts and their impact in the game, which gives you a bit of a choice after all. The feel of gameplay is mostly good but sometimes you'll get frustrated of the slow reactions - especially from the knight that hence isn't used much. A couple more enemies wouldn't hurt either.

Idea: 9.0/10.
There is to few good new platformers around these days. So to make one that stays interesting the whole game is a great achievement in it self. The idea of having there characters in one is great and makes the game strategic and smart.

Story 7.0/10.
The storyteller is great and his voice makes even the loading screen interesting. The story is a classic easy linear type and the progression is all about finding the same thing - which you finally do in the end. It could perhaps have some twists and path choices but it's not because the story that you play this game after all. I would also like some more distinct boss battles. I like the epilogue.
