Trickstyle had a lot of potential, good graphics, great concept, it failed though poor execution and dull gameplay.

Quick Review

This game had an excellent concept, even for a Dreamcast game, considering that this game was released in 1999 and skateboarding games were beginning to get popular with Tony Hawk leading the genre. This games attempt is a good try on how good ideas should be introduced into gaming.

Firstly the game is set in the future in major metropolis of London, Tokyo and Manhattan Island. You can play as nine players riding on their hoverboards, each has they're own riding style and special moves. These are all basic ideas for any skate/hoverboarding game. The graphics do hold up will to a future setting and interesting used of design for the games models.

However what draw the line, is that it doesn't really offer anything new to the genre and poor execution in performing special moves and boring gameplay makes this a really dull title, this isn't much to be said about this game and if you are curious, you were better off renting this game when it came out. Having said that... the gameplay could of been ALOT better.
