If you had to buy one XBLA game this year, it better be this one.

- "Rocks"
Trials HD was an excellent skill-based motorcycle game that had a lot going for it. Trials Evolution builds on it, and the result is a game which is truly fun and has loads of replay value.
Positives:
-There are over 50 different tracks and many skill games, all of them fun and unique. The difficulty curve is more gradual than the previous game, so you need to collect medals and pass license tests to progress through the game.
-The customization is improved, in that you can use money you earn in levels to buy parts for your rider and bikes. The level editor has been completely revamped, and if you have the patience, you can not only create bigger and better trials tracks, but a plethora of skill games and original games ranging from First Person, to foosball, to scrolling shooters, and anything else you can conjure up. Your imagination is the limit.
-Track Central. You can download, play and rate tracks that everyone has uploaded, without the need for a gold membership.
-Local multiplayer is simple but fun. I haven't touched online multiplayer so I will not comment on that.
-The many ways your rider can be hurt is hilarious.
Negatives:
-I personally like the soundtrack, but cheesy rock/rap certainly isn't for everyone.
For $15, you are definitely getting a bang for your buck, in fact, Trials Evolution put many $60 games to shame. There really are no major flaws, only tiny ones, and what game doesn't have tiny flaws? The accessibility, fun, and endless free downloadable content make this one of the best games to grace the Xbox Live Arcade, and the Xbox 360 in general.

I had just done the most incredible (and luckiest) run on Trials HD. I had to replay it and get it on film...but as my mate was about to show it to the camera...he pressed the wrong button and lost it...FAIL.Posted Sep 4, 2009
