Transformers: Autobots User Review
They almost nailed it with best action game on the DS, but they faltered on the DS graphics and repetitive levels.

- "Almost, but not quite"
Let me say, this is a game well worth playing, its got your great gameplay, your transforming action, your variety of vehicles, and your favorite characters.
...First of all, Transformers: Autobots, is one of the funnest DS games I have ever played! The gameplay controls seem natural with a little bit of touch screen thrown in there. The transformers have 2 ways to transform: moving and stand-still. Since there are 4 basic types of transformers, this alone can intrest you for a while! In Transformers, there are about 30 unique autobots that you play. You create you own custom autobot who you can customize almost at will! Along with that, you can change their colors so hot pink helecopter! lol. Anyways, you get a variety of movie characters that you use and/or help. Those are the ways that this game is amazing!
Now lets look at the downside. Lets face it, the DS graphics SUCK! But even for the DS, the graphics are a bit on the drawing side of things! Another bad thing is the camera! IT IS HORRID! you will be facing one direction to kill an enemy, then you will turn around and the camera will take 3 seconds to refocus!. That can get you killed! The final bad thing is the repeditivity! In half the levels, the mission is reletivly the same, but how many senarios can you create with walking, destroying, robots from a limited movie? I think altogether they did a great job with this game!

Opening sequence to Transformers Tataki for PS2. This is an import game that was never released in the USA. I replaced the audio with the theme song to the original TF Movie from 1986.Posted Jul 13, 2007
