Any other robot themed fighting game would offer more content and challenge for your money.

I think that the saddest part of playing this game is the realization that I would have loved it if I were a young boy. These were exactly the type of games that I found to be exciting when I was eight years old; A couple of robots that could morph into vehicles beating up on each other. Unfortunately, now that I am older: my preferences have become more complex and my visual palate more discerning. This is a horribly mundane video game for a number of reasons. The most glaring flaw of this title is that you can beat the story mode on hard by simply mashing on a single button repeatedly throughout every battle. At its core Transformers: Beast Wars: Transmetals is a fighting game with an attack button a super charge attack and the ability to change your guy into a car. This is simply not enough and with only 10 playable characters and single color palate stages, the game just comes of boring. I should also mention that these transformers are supposed to be huge but they look so small on the screen and there is nothing to make you feel like these are hulking machines. Also the voice acting is supper annoying for most of the characters. If you're are a fan of Transformers, I would recommend avoiding this game and instead watch the TV series. There aren't enough redeeming features to warrant a purchase from anybody except for the most completionist minded Transformer fans.
