Get your troops ready for the year 2142! Prepare to fight in a massive and brutal war in our $1,000 Battlefield 2142™ (PC) tournament! Think you've got what it takes to destroy your opponent's Titan, rise to the top, and win the $1,000 grand prize? Then register and get ready to wage an epic-scale war!

Tournament registration begins Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 3 pm PT. Check back then to sign up!

In WAR OF THE TITANS, sixteen 20-player teams will have the chance to compete for the top prize and bragging rights as the best Battlefield 2142 team on GameSpot. Every match will pit two teams against each other and the mission is simple: Destroy your enemy's Titan and fend for your Titan's survival. Only one team will advance to the next round, so who will defeat and detonate the Titan first?

And as always, we'll broadcast the Finals live on GameSpot Tournament TV! You'll get to see your favorite GameSpot editors and special guests provide commentary on the battle, as well as interviews with some of the top players.

PRIZES

Only the winning team will walk home with the $1,000 prize package!

1st Place - Each member of the 1st place team will receive a gift certificate from Best Buy worth $50.

2nd Place - Each member of the 2nd place team will receive a three month free extension on their Total Access account membership

3rd Place - Each member of the 3rd place team will receive a one month free extension on their Total Access account membership.
