Good short burst mini-games

User Rating: 7 | TouchMaster 2 DS
It's really hard to convince a lot of people to purchase games like this one since the DS is already flooded with mini-game titles. And yes, TouchMaster 2 is yet another addition to that genre. But is there anything in here that hasn't been done before?

Well that would be a no. But the bright side of this one is that the games here is a combination of mini-games that often times can only be found on at least 2 separate titles. Here you'll find a bunch of card, word, and picture games. Plus a pool, bowling, car, and even a dungeon game etc etc. The game also allows you to pick your avatar from a couple of (unattractive) premade ones.

The controls is obviously touchscreen focused, no surprise there. While graphics and sound are average in quality.

I was able to play multiplayer with a few of its mini-games but it wasn't really as fun as I expected it to be. Take the spot-the-difference picture game (not really its name) for example. If you play that game in multiplayer, the first (few) pictures will be displayed for both players. But there's no option to place a time-limit, so if the other player finishes first, he will be able to proceed with the next picture while the other gets stuck on the same one. And even if you get to finish at the same time, you'll probably end up getting two different pictures to solve next. So if you think about it you guys are just pretty much playing at the same time but there isn't really much difference when the two of you play at the same time but not connected.

Still, the game has a pretty good collection of mini-games that should enable you to shed off some of your spare time. Although multiplayer seems to be an after thought, I still feel that the game deserves at least a 7.

.:My reviews are only as good as everyone else's. Take every single one of them with a grain of salt:.
