Amazingly good for free. Amazingly bland on its own merits.
The camera is of excellent value i think. Mine came with a headset, 1 month XBox Live Gold, UNO, and TotemBall included in the package.
TotemBall is crap if you look at it on its own merits. But it allows you to add to your gamerscore if you endure the boredom it ensues on you. There is not an ounce of excitement in the game.
The graphics are just okay. Fair enough, they're aren't many fully 3D games on the XBLA. Obviously, games like RoboBlitz and Alien Homicide blow this out of the water but there's been some effort put into this game graphically. Judging by XB360 standards, they're possibly the worst out there though!
The game sounds great. The soundtrack is very catchy and well composed. The jungle sounds are extremely realistic... so realistic that i thought at first the sounds were coming from outside (i have a 5.1 setup, and the positional audio is excellent in this game). all i can say that is bad about the sound is that the songs get repetive because a lot of the levels are quite long, and the songs are just on loop.
The control in the game is awful in my opinion. I think i'd just prefer to play this with a control! The game is very erratic with its motion detection, which can lead to annoying and unnecessary deaths. The game is unplayable for me at night-time, because it just can't detect when i'm moving.
TotemBall is free, so it's oviously of excellent value for money. It's got a pretty lengthy single-player mode, plus multiplayer, leaderboards, freeplay, and pinball.
On the whole, the game is worth downloading simply because it's free. TotemBall is bland, and not much fun at all, but you might as well have it if you've got the camera, you can start adding to your gamerscore.
One more thing: THIS IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE EYETOY. Not nearly. I didn't particuarly like EyeToy: Play, but by EyeToy: Play 3, it had proved itself to be an innovative piece of kit. Every single EyeToy: Play 3 game is far, far, far, far better than TotemBall. But then again, the EyeToy actually costs money...
