Cracks in the Bushido Code

User Rating: 5 | Total War: Shogun 2 PC
I was excited to play this game but the only battles I fought were numerous frustrating, failed attempts to get the game to load through the Steam client server. Once committed to install this game, you will have no choice but to register with Steam to obtain operable game components, a process that is only slightly less arduous than ascending Mount Fuji. After that is when the real battle begins. I was unable to pinpoint the reason why the load progress was, in comparison to other similar games, longer than an imperial age, but it felt as though I had been transported back to a simpler time, when number crunching was done on an abacus and code ninjas were not honor bound to complete beta testing before unleashing mayhem on their unsuspecting victims.

I was unable to find any helpful posts in the help forum to fix this problem, although many posts suggested that it had to do with a patch released by Steam. Unless you think 8 hours is a reasonable time to put your life on hold while installing a game, this one will have you wanting to commit seppuku.
