An awesome RTS game and shouldn't be missed!

When I first played Total War(the first one....Shogun)it completely drew me in.Mostly because its Total War and basically, thinking of the two words total and war gives you a thought of pure badassery and unending epicness. This has been demonstrated by Total War games in the past years,from Japan to the battles in Europe. Shogun 2 TW is the new game in the series and all I can say that it was amazing.....Rome TW was better...but still ;)

Graphics:This is the most impressive part of the whole game, and I couldn't stop thinking on how the hell did the developers put that much detail even on a single samurai...absolutely insane.The whole world and every map in game is extremely well designed,texture details are extremely good(for an RTS game) and the depth of field calms your eyes,reminding you how beautiful Japanese landscape is with cherry blossoms go by.
>Every unit in game duels with each other,HUNDREDS of them at the same time duels.It adds to realism and immersion so well
>Water detail is very good, not only that, wet surfaces during rain in game is so realistic it almost blew my computer in half.
>DX11 will also destroy your PC

Gameplay: It still uses the same TW principle of "paper and scissors" where every unit has a countering unit. The only difference it has with other games that use this principle is you command loads of units and you have to always check on the status of your groups as they have impact to morale and fatigue.

>Foot units are unusually faster now,more of a pro than a con
>Raiding castles is somewhat new compared to E:TW,like climbing walls,burning walls,burning gates. Its also easier to defend and harder to attack
>Musket/firearm units are present too and is very challenging at times
>A multiplayer game which makes you customize your own samurai clan which is an awesome feature.
>Some scenarios of famous battles in Japan
>Generals,Daimyo,Ninja,overseers can now level-up, this is one of the best features yet. It draws you closer to your generals and agents and you can manipulate their strengths and weaknesses in the battlefields, or in politics.

Sounds:Yes thousands of troops fight at one time, which gives the game ridiculous amounts of channels.The game also includes Japanese music to...err..activate the warrior in you,sooth you with tea and sake or make your life a little more honorable.

CONS
>The new campaign map is somewhat annoying. The 3d map has been here since E:TW and its been a nuisance trying to move your units accurately.It would be good if there is an option to use the old 2D maps like the first TW games to navigate in the map better.
>Sometimes annoying diplomacy where your enemies and allies can be unpredictable, especially with strong ties.

Overall this game is one of the best RTS games ive ever played. If you could see the time I used to play this game on top of this comment, it just proves how addictive this game is ESPECIALLY with mods that fix known bugs or change mechanics that you dislike from the game.You should really buy this game if your and RTS fan that centers on strategy greatly like in SupCom/Starcraft.
