Hopefully they won't use the broken AI from....well actually every game after the first Rome had pretty terrible AI. Especially cavalry, the AI stopping my cavalry charge an inch from the enemy just to be slaughtered was SO stupid. And Shogun 2 was even worse....but then they just threw that one in the toilet altogether. Basically hope this is bringing back the good times from Rome 1 and not just crushing my poor broken spirit more.

I still think if they re-do empire total war, and make it right the second time it will be by far the best total war game to be released. Just the grand size of it makes it addicting. However, to really add the "empire" era they need to add east china, japan, Manchuria, the entire coast of Africa, even in some parts deeper into the African continent ect. And make the entire map about the same scale as Napoleon TW was.  Empire could also have used much more unit variation. However, i still think the grand campaign in EMPIRE is one of the best TW has done, just since the era is so perfect and you get the sense of actually building an empire on more than one continent.

looks amazing but if those are screenshots, then lots of people are going to need to upgrade their rigs

PS. also wanted to commend CA's ability to reproduce the feeling of culture for any era and region they base their games on - amazing.

You making it more Human? But the Romans didn't act human with their laws.....I guess......it's just another way of saying it will be better I guess.

@SpazldNinjaDude You are assuming that Humans are noble at heart but they're really not. It's not the Romans that were horrible, everybody were and still are. It is the way the world is connected right now that prevents people from slaughtering one another on an epic scale, but Humans are still the only creatures along with apes that take joy in hurting others.

This will have a lot of CPU load with this game, better start thinking about getting an Oct/Hexa core.

These things are great, but can CA please make a TW game has competent battle A.I?

And please improve on the much-needed Retreat feature.

@chaosbrigade I would like that too, but I think I may also just wait for a Darthmod Rome 2: Total War Mod.
