Torchlight absolutely nails the formula that made Diablo so addictive.

Torchlight is a small masterpiece brought to you by the guys that made original Diablo, Faith and last but not least Mythos (if you had luck to play it). This includes music score composed by Matt Uleman - original Diablo composer. And most of the programmers that made Diablo.

These guys know how to make Hack&Slash Action RPG

Its safe to say that there is Diablo series. And than there is Torchlight standing just below. And all rest of Diablo-likes are below them. Titan Quest , Sacred ... the list goes on. This is better than all of them. And its probably stay on top until release of Diablo 3.

Gameplay is snap. Skills are awesome. Classes feel just right.
You have every little thing ever seen in ARPG. Enchanting, socketable items, pets with skills, non class dependent learnable skills, random quests, random secret dungeons, mobs with skills.
Everything is just perfect and shows its result of years long experience.

Now add to this editor that comes with the game. Meaning there will be plethora of user generated adventures and mods. Wow!

And all this for only 20$ !!!!

CRAZY!

Only bad thing to be said is that there is no multiplayer mode.

Why? Because Torchlight is set as platform for Torchlight MMO!!!
That will be F2P and based on above (and Mythos success) will be nothing short of awesome.

Purchasing the game will help sponsor the MMO development. So your 20$ will be well spent.
