The Bottom Line:

Torchlight 2 is the exact same game, only bigger. Lots of loot, lots of monsters, but it feels empty, like you're the only human in the world. Even the friendly NPCs greet you with "hello human".
Story wise: the game sucks. It has no story. You just stumble through thousands of creatures till you reach the end. Why? Hell if i know.
No memorable characters, no memorable quests.
It eludes me why people give it such high scores.
Loot wise: lots of loot, but it seems very unbalanced. My best weapon dropped at lvl 20. Right until the end of the game, i didn't have a better drop, while monsters were constantly getting stronger.
In conclusion - if you liked the first game, you'll like this one. If you didn't, don't bother with the second.
