Torchlight II User Review
Everyone has to compare it to D3 ... but to review it on it's own merit's it's basically a great game. Fun and addictive

- "Guilty pleasure"
It's not D3 for good or for worse. But I'm getting to a point where I can enjoy both games equally for their own merits. In my review I'm just going to tell you what I love about T2 and why you should pay the cheap price of $20.rnrn-
It's addictive: Once you start you don't want to stop. Sure the story isn't that great nor does the game have amazing graphics or movies, but the game flow is awesome. swarms of enemies in pockets here and there and the developers did a great job in making the tempo fun. rnrn-
The Loot!: Wow the loot it fantastic. Makes you really think about what you pick up and what you put on. They are more creative and the stats do a good job not making one thing that much better than the other, but keeps up with the flow of the game. I think the loot in this game is great and you can even have a magician try to enchant it. rnrn-
Skills and Spells: I love the fact that you can't erase them and start over. Or maybe you can I just don't know about it yet. But what I love are all the options. It makes you think what kind of character you want to build. Back when D2 was around and I enjoy that a lot more.rnrn-
Bosses: In D3 you go through a long mission/quest to get to a boss and it's a great fight. In T2 I feel as though there are multiple boss fights in a mission it's great. I also love the side quests/fights in the middle of a mission/story that breaks it up.rnrn
Characters: The best part of the game for me is the fact that you can build your own character and pet. Sure you only have 4 classes and sure you can only change how they look with limited options, but you know what ... that means a lot to me. I love building my own character even if 2 minutes into the game you put on gear and can't see them anymore. It's an option I want in games and don't know why developers put them in more often!!
In the end this game is only $20 and that's a steal. It's fun and addictive and whether you liked D3 or not you'll enjoy this. The graphics are a little more cartoony and the story isn't great ... but everything else makes up for it in more ways than one!rn

A by-the-books isometric loot fest that fans will enjoy, but will do little to draw new players.

Blizzard Not as Good as they Used to Be. Runic's Torchlight 2 Proves that.
