A really fantastic game to play. If you're a fan of the diablo series and haven't picked this up yet, do it now.
I held off on torchlight 2 until it went on sale. Man I wish I didn't. You can compare features all day long if you want, but D3 has nothing on this game. The characters, abilities, levels, and everything about this game is fun. Everything you do makes you want to go out and just play your character more, kill things, and loot. Each character class is really creative and a lot of fun to play, especially multiplayer.
I'm not going to compare features here, but in a nutshell, here's what turned me on about this game:
- You have an equal chance to score good loot on monster drops, in the store, or from boss chests. Very well balanced distribution of loot gives you a good feel of progression throughout the game.
- Game encourages you to socket and customize your items often, instead of hoarding them for better gems and playing the game with empty sockets until max level.
- Absolute best character skill trees ever.
- Most important: The game is a BLAST to play.
